I refuse to eat fake meat until the government forces me to.
Coined by the old injun that shot himself in his own shoulder with his bow and arrow.
When you’re eating fake meat, it’s best not to think of it in relation to meat.
Think of it on it’s own, and it’s a lot more palatable.
I’ve eaten some decent vegetarians stuff, but it was nothing like meat. It was a nice alternative, but certainly not meat-like in most instances.
They dont care. It s a frankenfood, but it doesnt harm animals and thats the only criteria for most of them. For the record, I havent eaten a bit of flesh or dairy in over a decade. But Ive been booted from vegan message boards for arguing this point. I tell them that if they are ethical vegans, they are hypocrites for wanting a realistic meat substitute and that their justification for enjoying pretend meat is cognitive dissonance.
Then they say some nonsense like this is just a transition food for omnivores who are looking to get into a plant-based diet. Then I correctly point out that thats BS. Then I am usually banned! LOL!
He looks like he is trying to pass a football sizes turd, doesn’t he?

Those gluten items can come back to haunt you.
LOL
Worked at a place that served vega-burgers. To be honest they were pretty good. They didn’t taste like meat, but on their own they weren’t bad.
I think they were gluten based, and we used to kid about them.
If it works for you, cool. I’m good with that. Really.
My complaint with many (most? seems like it) of the no meat crowd (especially the vegans) is the fascist like bullying and hypocrisy. When they started claiming a causal relationship with meat & fictitious man made global warming it showed what their real agenda is.
I’m pretty easy going with what people want to do with themselves. It’s the in your face crap and the you must do it too totalitarianism to which I refuse to be subjected.
It only decent when cooked well and hidden inside lettuce tomato onions and lots of mustard so you cant taste it. Ha! Im all for eating more veggies. Ive tried dozens of veggie products. Donated them all to one of the free food giveaway places They all tasted awful imho.
It is a chemical concoction that is far more unknown than any GMO food.
I would not trust my health by eating these things.
Tastes pretty good to me but certainly not worth a premium price. No doubt that’s whey it failed.
I bought some black bean patties my daughter suggested (I do like beans in many forms) and they are tasty - nutritious also. 15 bean soup is a favorite, with ham of course.
I like a lot of stuff - including animal protein. One side of my family is from Savannah, I love seafood. There’s some great eating out on the islands.
A good medium rare ribeye? yum. One of the meals I eat when the wife is gone is a pot of black beans with onions and diced hot Italian sausage. Did I mention I love sausage? Bratwurst and sauerkraut, umm..
Which will taste like what they are full of....and it aI t Soylent.
KFC to sell Beyond Meat's plant-based 'fried chicken' in the southern U.S.
Same here, in fact I had an Impossible Whopper, and enjoyed it. It tasted good, even if it didnt taste exactly like beef.
I also tried it once, but with all the other stuff on the sandwich, it was hard to tell if it was animal, vegetable or mineral. Plus, it was a buck or two more than a regular Whopper.
One and done for me, thank you.
This soylent green faux never made it America fast foods.
Sounds good. I love eggs, potatoes, and beans.
There’s so much you can do with them.
That last concoction sounded pretty good.
I hadn’t heard of that. Thanks for the mention.
A Vegan, a CrossFitter, and an Atheist walk into bar.
How do you know? They won’t STFU about it...
