The first time I saw it in the air, I thought I’d died and gone to another planet, or to the future :-)

***According to news reports, our B-52s don't even have to be over target and put in jeopardy. They each can carry 22 cruise missle, which can be launched and seek their own target. Our B-52s can stay in safe air space***

Yep! They don't 'drop' them any more, they's gots guided missiles! The B52 was a wondrous creation, still flying, still defending freedom. They entered Afghanistan with the Northern Alliance after 9/11; the Taliban/al Qaeda never knew what hit them.

Oh no,of course not. I’ve seen a “danger close” archlight (B52 strike) and the mullahs have to be sweating our CIC that’s not afraid to pull the trigger on them.

I have no problem with punitive war. The more of them that die and the less of our side the better. If you are going to war make it war and don’t worry about what people think when you kill a large number of them.

War is not a game. It should not be treated as such. It should be fast and deadly to the enemy. I don’t think we need to send in the troops. But if they are needed they can be brought up quickly with these fleets.

For their troops we have cluster bombs that would knock down their troops very quick. So I don’t believe our troops have to be in Iran. Something I think would be stupid. Let them rebuild themselves and take charge of governing themselves after we destroy the government if they want to attack us.

But we need to be prepared just in case.

I recall reading that they’ve made hangers for them on Guam.

During the Soleimani funeral procession, a handful of m-80s would have been sufficient.

Sorry, but wrong. Guam, England, Germany, Japan, and others have all hosted B-2’s.

My favorite was the B-58 Hustler. It was an amazing airplane, created as a complement to the B-52.

Anderson AFB, Guam. In fact, one of them crashed there in 2008.

Great movies celebrating a great America.

As a Luddite I of course own Strategic Air Command on DVD as well as Bombers B-52. So great. Someday when socialist masters delete all such films from various streaming and bundle offerings I hope to survive with them intact.

They would probably make Ihlan Omar shudder with stress and burst into tears and incoherent babbling.

I had the plastic scale model of the B-58 Hustler. Beautiful and sleek.

Someone said the space program partly fizzled out because the Space Shuttle was boring and clunky instead of looking like 1950s SF magazine covers. So Sen.Proxmire could cut funding and say it was just a dump truck going back and forth.

I’ve been going through my Dad’s papers and effects lately. He was the Program Manager in some amazing aerospace projects during his career. I just discovered from one of his resumes that he worked on some electronics systems for the B-58! I never knew that. I guess that assignment was overshadowed by his bigger accomplishments that went into space.

That’s exciting. Like a mystery story with pieces coming together.

Exactly right. I’ve been working on family genealogy and there are lots of mysteries throughout. It was an exciting find to learn Dad worked on the Hustler. It’s weird he never told me that — maybe it was confidential.

That's a pretty plane. If I'd ever seen it....maybe I wouldn't have been shocked (but probably still) over the B2.

Coincidentally, I watched “The B-58, Champion of Champions”, narrated by Jimmy Stewart, on youtube. Excellent presentation of an amazing bomber.
