His death has been a long time coming. Going out the way he did so many others including American servicepeople in Iraq, and many civilians all over the middle east - by a bomb.

Soleimani is the Iranian’s #1 guy when it comes to managing Iranian militias all around the world. Taking him out is a great message as he’s been targeted before.

An unknown number of rockets struck at least two vehicles belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces that were transporting the high ranking officials.

What were the two vehicles doing in the targeted area?

The aiming for those airstrikes is very tight.

I’d be surprised if this was random. IMO he was targeted. They must have had intel and used it. Iran is on notice.

The origin points of such a rocket assault would be met with a very quick and deadly response. The trajectory of rockets quickly gives away the positions they are fired from.
Satellite data is instantly relayed to our guys. Even without satellite data it’s not difficult to ascertain the origin point of rockets.
