Fiona Hill, former National Security Council senior director for Europe and Russia, will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday, Nov. 21, in the impeachment probe into President Donald Trump. Hill told lawmakers in closed-door testimony last month that then-national security adviser John Bolton expressed concerns that the Trump administration was trying to pressure Ukrainian officials. The focus of the impeachment inquiry is a July 25 phone call in which Trump asked Ukraine's president to investigate 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The chair shall transmit such report and appendices, along with any supplemental, minority, additional, or dissenting views filed pursuant to clause 2(l) of rule XI, to the Committee on the Judiciary and make such report publicly available in electronic form, with appropriate redactions to protect classified and other sensitive information. The report required by this paragraph shall be prepared in consultation with the chairs of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Oversight and Reform.

and then it goes on to say that the "Committee on the Judiciary is authorized to promulgate additional procedures as it deems necessary for the fair and efficient conduct of committee hearings held pursuant to this resolution..."

The most importhe investigation is tant part of the investigation is not that Trump wants to investigate possible Biden crimes. Nor is it that Biden is a political rival. What is most important is that Trump was attempting to use the withholding of already approved military aid to get the new Ukranian president to commit pubicly to doing that investigating or he would not get the military aid. As the mother of a Special Forces soldier, I am particularly upset that this could possibly blow back on his military service and possible safety. Given Putin’s likely intentions, it could also blow back on American safety in general.
