About 100 students at an Oregon high school walked out of classes last week in support of the LGBTQ community after they said a series of events made students feel unsafe, including the presence of a Chick-fil-A food truck at home football games.
The West Linn High School students, organized by the schools Gender and Sexuality Alliance, walked out of school Friday to protest what they say is rising anti-LGBTQ sentiment on campus. GSA President Susie Walters, who organized the protest, told a local NBC affiliate that LGBTQ students have increasingly been the target of harassment and bullying at the school.
Two recent incidents sparked the protest, including a transgender seniors car being vandalized with the word queer on it and Chick-fil-A being invited as this seasons food vendor for home football games.

Zap them back in time to 1930, into a coal mining town in England. It’ll be fun. :)
Fake news to “raise awareness”. Noting in the piece that the public information officer has not heard any reports of this.
From earlier this morning if anyone cares to scan the comments.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve never in my life felt unsafe because of a chicken sandwich! Nor any other kind of sandwich for that matter.
They’re talking about a food vendor, not at school every day, but at sports events. Unless you’re in band or on the team, you are NOT required to go to the games!
Hoo boy, yet another excuse by these dead-enders to walk out of school and frame it as a morally superior thing to do.
Afraid of a food truck? No wonder they all have eating disorders. Also, I’m pretty sure none of them have any basic knowledge of how to cook or feed themselves, either.
Another Freeper said the other day, ‘When the balloon goes up, these kids will be young and tender...like veal!’ LOL!
Looks like the indoc is working as planned.
This is one of the “shaking my head” moments.
The sight of the Chick Fil A food truck triggers these idiots? Really?
So does the sight of Chick Fil A when they drive down the road, cause them to get in car accidents?
What exactly makes them feel “unsafe” at the sight of the Chick Fil A food truck? Do they think people jump out of the Chick Fil A truck ,chase after people, and tell them not to be homosexual? What the heck is going through their minds?
Good. Show your true commitment by never coming back. Jumping off a bridge would also show that you care more than me.
Yep I hear you.
If this is typical of today’s young people, today’s institutions, I fear if we could win World War II today, with the caliber of young people in this country nowadays.
“Im pretty sure that Ive never in my life felt unsafe because of a chicken sandwich!”
I’ve only heard of unsafe incidents over a chicken sandwich at Popeyes, but that seems to be ethnicity-specific.
A fast food restaurant made them feel unsafe. Then the kids are in need of help. They have to be kept indoors, and with armed guard. They must not be exposed to any thought that contradicts official liberal dogma.
How long before they burn down a fast food place whose CEO contributes to a cause that they hate? How long before all the employees are blackballed?
There is no freedom of speech or thought in the USA. The delusion that it exists is hard to let go of.
Decisions? Why? Pretty dang sad. Just watched some of the colorized WWII documentary about the early stages of the battle of Britain. How many of these youts would be willing or capable of climbing into a Spitfire and going against the luftwaffe? Like I said. Pretty dang sad. Good thing there are actually youngsters out there that do know how to think and are willing to sign that blank check to Uncle Sam. Do they get much press? Nope.
The only ‘sensible’ thing to do is to ban ALL Chicken Sandwiches!

When I search by keyword for “food truck” it’s not found and changes the query to “foodtruck.” When I search by title for “food truck” it finds it. Odd, but now I know :-)
Good. The less time they spend in class, the better off they are. Society, too.
Add to that the unending politicizing of music, tv, movies, denominational (false, unbiblical) religion, deliberately obtuse parents, social media................ ad infinitum, ad nauseum....
None of these kids were feeling “unsafe”. They were just being taught protest by that new wack job teacher who wants to be cool with the kids. For those who have attended the public schools, we all know those teachers.
” including a transgender seniors car being vandalized with the word queer on it “
And lemme guess, a noose also, and a swastika...
