Mayor Pete Buttigieg celebrated Veterans Day on Monday, promising to change the motto of the Veterans Affairs to make it more gender inclusive.
The motto for Veterans Affairs is featured on a plaque on the federal building in Washington, DC, featuring a quote from President Abraham Lincoln’s second inaugural address in 1865: “To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan.”

In Lincoln’s time, they were all men, and widows and orphans were left behind when soldiers died in the civil war.
It takes a strange mindset, in my opinion, to take that statement from the past, and get panties in a twist, that somehow it is offensive to women.

This is why there have been 20+ candidates running for the DEMs. First reason is to have the DEM talking points, via the candidates, in the news 24/7. Secondly, each DEM candidate can pander to one or more of the small interest groups. All we’re hearing in the news is Medicare for all, allowing illegals full benefits, gun control/elimination, gender equality (actual, gender/race punishment for white males), wealth taxes, reparations, abortions *through* the day of birth, free college for anyone who cannot afford it, ...
