Kublai Khan hated the Uighurs. He had problems with them from about 1260 on. Ghengis Khan, his grandfather, also had problems with them and wanted to exterminate them. Uighurs have been a problem in China for at least 800 years.

We done worse in our history. Events like MKUltra, treatment of Native / African Americans, and the Tuskegee syphilis experiments are examples. But we learned and are now civil in the treatment of all people. China needs to advance.

Evidently, if you do not have a bill of rights it is common in many countries. The British did this here before the American Revolution.

Makes total sense. 1. Kill all radicalized Islamist men (and sell their body parts). 2. Take the Han Chinese who can’t find brides (less than 40% of China is female because of selective abortions) and pair them up
Uighurs are Muslims. Muslims are a danger to whatever society they infest. But better to ship them out to an Islamic state than to imprison them.

Sounds strategically tactical with total assimilation as the goal.
If the Chinese are in fact using their armed services to implement the beginning stages of this assimilation, these armed services would in all probability be under orders and would therefore be “forced” into full compliance with issued directives.
Didn’t England attempt this same strategy with the Scots?

I only believe about 10% of the news reports I read or hear out of China. Roughly the same percentage of what I believe from American media.

I’m in China quite frequently and with a VPN I’m able to continually read and listen to western news stories. In summer 2008 they were claiming that there was an armed soldier on every Beijing street corner - I never saw a single one. They claimed that the sun never shined in Beijing - not true.Last Christmas, it was claimed that China had banned Christmas celebrations - at the same time there were dancing Santas outside restaurants and religious carols being played inside department stores.
I think in general it’s a mistake nowadays to trust any news outlet anywhere with any report that you can’t verify through other means.

China has a rape culture.
Islam also has a rape culture.
So little compassion for the raping Muslims.
Allah obviously has not intervened on the part of Muslims.

When I see muslims being as concerned about the rights of other religious minorities in their countries, I might give a s*it about how China treats muslims. Until then, YAWN.
imho we need to separate Uighur muslims from Hui Muslims in the Han chinese peoples’ eyes.
Hui are basically Han people with some Arab etc. ancestry who are Muslim. They look like Han, have similar customs, language etc. but stay away from pork. The Han don’t think too much of them - either good or bad.
Uighurs are Turkic and were Nestorian Christians before they converted to islam around the 13th century. They are a distinct nation.
The Chinese don’t mind “miscegenating” with them - “Chinese” have assimilated many, many groups over the millenia - Xianbei, Xia, Jurchen, Mongols, even Turkic groups
But everyone becomes “Chinese”
