Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said she has been mostly flying commercial in an effort to combat climate change but said her campaign is trying to look at other ways to reduce its carbon footprint.
What specific steps have you taken in your campaign to ensure that your campaigns environmental impact is limited as possible? a listener asked.Host Laura Knoy pointed out that Tom Steyer (D) recently told NHPR that he is only flying commercial, adding, theres a huge carbon footprint of a private jet, so thats the sacrifice he said he was willing to make. How about you?
So Ive mostly been flying commercial, Warren said, explaining that her campaign has been trying to look at other ways to reduce its carbon footprint.
Its everything from the kind of car we drive and down to, do we purchase offsets? Can we make that work s a way to try to reduce the footprint, she said, failing to elaborate if her campaigns proposals have come to fruition.
One of the things that has been so interesting to me in the whole area of climate has been the good ideas that have come from lots of different campaigns. One I just want to get a pitch in here for is when Gov. Inslee was running, she said:
He talked about the importance of regulating three industries that by 2028 no new buildings, no new houses that have any carbon footprints zero carbon footprint on new buildings. By 2030, all newly built cars and trucks zero carbon footprint. And by 2035, all electric production zero carbon footprint.
We do those three things, we cut carbon emission in our country by 70 percent. Think about that, three things, 70 percent reduction, she said.

If Warren were serious about fighting climate change, she would travel by oxcart.
That makes as much sense as Warren being an Indian & Harvard believing her!
I thought Granny Grey Beaver flew her broom.
Are you thinking of Hillary?
Isn’t she cute? Barf!
The Amish have had the right idea for a long time.
If its a diesel, it doesnt need spark plugs.
Had it been a diesel, Mrs E wouldnt have wanted it.... Sometimes ya gots to pick yer battles!
I don’t fly at all so I must be a super soldier in that regard.
So, all buildings including houses will be made from stone and metal? Cars, too? And how is that electricity generation going to take place without any lubricant on those big heavy stone or metal moving parts?
I dont think these people have any clue as to what they are saying. Carbon is literally all around us. It forms alllife and a good amount of non living things, as well.
What a moron
Tin Lizzie could really fight climate change and global warming by shutting her Marxist mouth.
A better way is for Pocofauntas to stop flying, stop driving and go sit in the basement.
Remember, she’s a Harvard law professor. Just think about what that means about the reality of what Harvard and the other Ivy law schools actually are. Pathetic. Instead of picking Supreme Court justices from these institutions, we should try very hard to exclude them.
Use your broom if you want to impress
