"The Navy has more admirals that we have ships."

I'm not surprised. It's much easier to make an admiral than it is to make a ship.

Perfumed Prince who excels at ass kissing. These are the ones you have to worry about in a civil war, they will carpet bomb US citizens and not lose a wink of sleep. Their oath and the Constitution, what are those things is their cred.

Well respected? Just another Obama officer who put self ahead of country. Every 3 and 4 star officer should have been fired on Trump’s first day. They all came to that rank under Obama and never earned a bit of it other than bending over for the Kenyan. (Retired Army Officer)

I’m embarrassed to say I bought McRaven’s book, “Make Your Bed”, last year. It was a paper thin knockoff of Jordan Peterson’s marvelous book, “12 Rules For Life”. Sounded like a good guy at the time, but obviously, he’s NOT. Publicly trashing the Commander In Chief is a crime, even if retired, and this busybody needs to be slapped down for it. Or do those rules only apply if you agree with the president?

lets be honest.....many people go into the military or stay in the military because they can't do anything else, and then there's that pension.....

get rid of the pensions, and only the people that really WANT to serve our country would stay....

and with high ranking officers, as in the business world, its who you know, and who you socialize with.....so you get a lot of blowhards and yes men....

Let’s be more honest - there are lots of people who don’t serve in the military, even one tour, because they could never cut it. The pansies whining about a military pension are fine with federal and state employees, who never deploy for a year or more, collecting a pension and subsidized health care for the rest of their lives.

I hope Barr/Durham are astute enough to closely examine who was cleared/read into operation ‘Crossfire Hurricane’. It may be that it was not a formalized compartmented program, but there should be some paper trails that describe what the operation was for, who ran it, what clearances were needed, etc. There are administrative documents associated with nearly every program in government.

If such paperwork hasn’t been destroyed by now.

"McRaven does not argue that President Trump has done anything wrong in particular, but that he has no respect for America’s values. These values, McRaven declares, involve a commitment to 'help the weak and stand up against oppression and injustice' around the world."

Alright, that's pretty weird. Can't help but wonder if special operations work at the top can sometimes have such an influence. I care about oppressed people anywhere, too, but our U.S. interests should be the focus for our military leaders.

That statement sounds like pure ecstacy
Do you find any prescience in The Ballad of Donald Trumpkinhead, er, I mean Peter Pumpkinhead?

This US Marine and retired FMF corpsman thinks this dipsh!t squid (stars or not) is THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX at it's worst.

He should follows Franklins advice.

"It's better to remain quiet and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt"

Or perhaps Voltaire is more apropos

"Those who can get you to believe absurdities, can get you to commit atrocities!"

With no respect due.

He can still be court-martialed for advocating for a military coup against the US president.
