What if Trump wants to delay the release of the IG report? He has the Democrats all tied up in knots with the impeachment circus. Maybe that needs to play out another two weeks before the IG report steals the news cycle. Just wondering.
IG’s do not have the authority to convene a grand jury. They can only investigate and make recommendations to DOJ prosecutors who then routinely dismiss the IG recommendation if the target(s) are in the club.
Yep, and in the meantime....more Republicans will be arrested jailed and prosecuted for fake crimes, while Andrew Weissman walks America as a free man!
Wake me up when Weissman is arrested or offs himself under mysterious circumstances!
I’m not keeping my hopes too high since the last IG was a fizzle. Maybe someone’s double checking to make sure redactions are valid and not covering things up, who knows.
I can understand investigations taking months/years. That even happens at the county level on big cases with multiple players.
Someone, Horowitz, Barr or Durnham better come out with something soon though. Before we’re too deep into election season.
You can trace the start of the coup to Graham threatening POTUS not to fire Sessions. That gave defacto AG Rotten Rod all the rope he needed to solidify the coup inside the Trump admin.

An excellent point. Graham and many in the GOP abetted the inquisition against Trump. They viewed him as a outsider and interloper they could not control. They all have their share of blame for getting the country into the Mueller mess.
