Confirmed, per a senior White House official, who says Trump has blessed the move. Trey Gowdy is on the Trump team.
I'm not even a fan of the guy, but the expectations a lot of people have of their Congressmen are ridiculous.

Anyone coming out of the woodwork, especially GOPers who bailed on Trump upsetting the house !!

I see Gowdy as a very precise, meticulous prosecutor.
He doesn’t want his case to have warts. He wants to keep it just the FACTS. There are many prosecutors who go to trial with fingers crossed that have enough evidence to convict.
Gowdy is the opposite. He must be SURE.
I am encouraged that he joined the group. He must see what the evidence is and he is satisfied that....the most important thing...he WILL WIN.
Just to be clear, Gowdy was not a Senator he was a congressman. He did a great job on Benghazi and did all he could to expose the truth, unfortunately the deep state was running the show and did all they could to kill Benghazi facts.
In defense of Gowdy, he never had real power to do anything. Maybe he will now?

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting that. I hope those on this forum that expected him to start throwing people in jail will read your post.
But they are pretty hard headed.
My opinion: when he was a Congressman there was Gowdy, Nunez and Jim Jordan. They were the stars. And none of them arrested anyone. Legislators don’t throw people in jail. Apparently this is a difficult concept for some.
We shall see...........
When Mccain was alive and chair of Sen Armed Svcs committee— and Graham was his butt boy so to speak. All this leads to hitlery and.... obamaumao, and his own house of cards.
Yes, indeedy. Maybe his mouth will have some teeth he couldn’t produce as a simple congressman from Anderson SC— whose biggest industry/employer is the Hartsville reservoir, and the Richard Russell lake...legacy of the FDR days and southern dem machine.
Gowdy was one of Paul RINO’s guys. He talks very well in front of a camera. Away from it, he made sure that any investigation the Republican majority did, went nowhere.
Let’s use that line with Biden and Schiff now.
The bottom line is that there was a wide spread conspiracy to cover up what happened in Benghazi that went from top to bottom and included our highest level military officers including Generals
Almost unimaginable at the time, but given the recent exposure of how corrupt our government has become it makes sense.
The Dept of State, the FBI and the CIA were the responsible players in the investigation
Everybody had their stories straight and nobody broke ranks.
And from testimony , every military asset in the region was inexplicably out of position or out of action to support any troubles in Libya on 9/11 despite that being the most likely place for trouble if any happened.
Amazing coincidence . Almost as if it was planned that way.
Why now? Why not from the beginning?
No indication has been seen he is willing to spend equity or energy in assisting our President to drain. the. swamp.

I’ll never, EVER be as smart and talented as Trey Gowdy, but when it comes to really leading in the effort to help drain the swamp, he’s just the “fluffer girl”; he gets things exposed and going but there’s never any ‘happy ending’.
Now that right there’s funny, I don’t care who you are.
What power does he have to accomplish anything when he's merely a single member of a house committee? I don't get it and the irrational criticism of Gowdy on this site are pure stupidity..........
Got a pretty prosecution history. He also thinks very well on his feet.
