Whistleblower Failed to Follow Law by Going to Schiff Before IG

A CIA officer whistleblower failed to follow the law for protecting members of the intelligence community (IC) seeking to report government malfeasance by going to the Democrat head of the House Intelligence Community before the IC inspector general (IG).

On Wednesday, the New York Times (NYT) revealed:

The Democratic head of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Adam B. Schiff of California, learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistleblower complaint, according to a spokesman and current and former American officials.

However, the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act (ICWPA) of 1998 explicitly requires an official concerned about wrongdoing within the government to go to the IC inspector general before the congressional panels in charge of oversight of the intelligence community.

His job and identity won’t be protected if he didn’t follow the law.

He may even go to prison if he revealed the contents of a classified phone call to Adam Schiff.

That's funny right there I don't care who you are.

I think the question needs to be asked whether there really exists a so called whistleblower or the story in the complaint is just made up of whole cloth by a bunch of conniving IC and Intel Committee traitor lawyers. This idea becomes more believable as time goes by and no name surfaces, especially in D.C. I have not heard anyone even claim they know who the whistleblower is despite the fact there is no law preventing an outing. We supposedly have the complaint but since there is no name attached to it, who knows whose words are in the complaint. This makes the entire document nothing more than made up hearsay at present.

And of course the question of who they are working for. Getting Trump impeached would be very popular with many enemies of America.

During his tenure, Obama and his minions (Comey, Brennan) worked hard to politicize both the Federal LE and Intelligence bureaucracy. A lot of true believers were embedded as civil servants in places like the DNI, CIA and FBI. This makes them extremely hard to remove. The motivation was to tie the Executive branch up in knots if the Dems ever lost power. While I think this was despicable and treasonous, it was also cunning and well played on Obama’s part. Obama knew (and knows) that the Press will cover for him and, as the first AA POTUS, he will never be prosecuted.

Whistleblower went to Schiff before following proper procedure because it is a conspiracy, pre-meditated, pre-postured, and weaponized against America by refusal of constitutionally guaranteed due process.

I hope these sordid liberal fascists issue articles of impeachment, so that Republicans can bring their own witnesses in the Senate including one Joseph Biden.

As you can imagine, Articles will never be issued. This is all show trial in a kangaroo court.

America is seeing through all of it, and as a result President Trump will beat the Dems like a drum in November of 2020, handing them their asses for further self elucidation on patriotism and America’s greatness.

So far this is being ignored by the major news outlets. Even Fox has to balance the story with a negative Trump story. The typical media response is, “nothing to see here, move on...”

As I posted in another thread, there’s a very high likelihood that the “CIA whistleblower” is actually detailed to the HPSCI staff. Great way to manufacture a whistleblower complaint.

Schiff never will resign. But, there is a serious conflict of interest issue now that it is known that the leaker contacted Schiff’s committee before the complaint was filed. What was discussed between the leaker and the staff? What advice was given? What notes were taken? What was Schiff told? All of these are questions that can be answered only by Schiff’s staff, by Schiff and the leaker. By their contact, Schiff and his staff have turned themselves from investigators into witnesses. Clearly, a fair investigation cannot be directed by Schiff who will need to orchestrate the evidence in a way that does not implicate him and his staff in any improprieties. So, he has to recuse himself from any further involvement. Of course, he won’t since it is not in his DNA to cede the limelight to someone else.

Who is ‘most people’. It bothers us.

Perhaps you mean, it won’t be reported on msn, cnn, abc, etc as a concern

Absolutely he needs to recuse himself! Or they need him blocked from further involvement.

My theory is that there is no whistleblower. The complaint was a joint effort by congressional democrats, CIA, FBI, and the media.
