This (ex) cop is (deservedly) screwed.

This trial just started today. I wonder how long it will last? She’s going to be found guilty, I’m sure.
Sentencing will likely come later this year. I wonder how much time she will get.

So does that mean they are going to be lodged in a hotel at taxpayer’s expense?

Never should have been a cop in the first place.
I don’t trust a word she says. I hope she gets nailed for her lies.

She goes into an apartment thinking it’s hers and doesn’t know that things such as chairs and couches and whatever don’t look the same and the guy just standing there?

The judge is making a good decision.
Its going to be a media circus.
Im glad they are keeping the trial in Dallas County.

This was probably murder. I’ve lived in at least 9 apartments/condos, and I never entered the wrong address. Her story doesn’t make sense.

I think it was a hit, and that there was something between the two of them.

The prosecution in opening statements held up a big red doormat that was in front of the neighbors apartment door, also noting that Guyger did not have a doormat in front of her apartment.
That would be hard to miss.....

So does that mean they are going to be lodged in a hotel at taxpayers expense?Don't make it sound like a fun luxury vacation. The TVs will be taken out of their rooms, they won't be allowed newspapers or family contact. They'll be watched by deputies constantly. Some say the OJ Simpson verdict was what it was because they just wanted out of there.

Yep. Lodging and food. Bailiffs watching them 24/7. No TV. No internet.
No fun.

She goes into an apartment thinking its hers and doesnt know that things such as chairs and couches and whatever dont look the same and the guy just standing there? Well, yeah, but she compensated for it by shooting the guy out of his shoes.

Concur.
Even if true, her story is not self-defense.
She walked into someone else’s house (and said somebody was minding his own business) and shot him, allegedly by accident.
If she wasn’t a cop, they’d already have fried her.

Many years ago, when I had an upstairs neighbor that I didn’t like, I nixed this idea. However if I were a cop....................................
