Pope Francis' unexpected announcement this past Sunday that he would appoint 13 new cardinals to the College of Cardinals strengthens his grip on the Catholic Church and solidifies a liberal majority to select the next pope. ...

While three of the Cardinals designated will be honorary, 10 new ones will be created Oct. 5 at a consistory and will become active members of the College of Cardinals, increasing its number of electors to 128, exceeding the current limit of 120. ...

Since assuming the seat of St. Peter in 2013, Francis has been assiduously stacking the College of Cardinals with supporters, ones that will not only back his revisions to Church teachings, but choose his successor.

...

On matters of doctrine, the Pope has sought to move the faith to one that accepts alternative lifestyles, including gays and lesbians, and eases restrictions of Catholics who have been divorced.

Exposing of Roman Catholic teaching on the papacy and Vatican politics.

No hate involved.

It is very Christian.

Absurd and ridiculous. Typical idea to think it’s all about Americans. The reason (1 and only) Benedict resigned has nothing to do with USA interests. The threat to the papacy came straight from a European source, and still exists. It’s the only reason he never leaves the city-state as he is under physical peril. I have yet to see an inkling of the truth in any American source.

"Absurd and ridiculous."

Thank you for your opinion.

But beware of underestimating the influence of the swamp. PDJT has exposed the swamp to be bigger than I was originally aware of.

Also, I’m aware of FReepers that know the good news of the gospel better than Pope Francis and his Jesuit colleagues imo.

Disagreeing is not hating. To say it is, is a tell.

Jesus attacked the money changers. The money changers felt they were OK.
