Chris Hayes argued that the Electoral College “would be unconstitutional” if it “wasn’t specifically in the Constitution.”
The MSNBC host made the comment during a lecture-style presentation knocking the system on Friday night’s “All In with Chris Hayes.”

I’d go so far as to say that at this moment, none of the clown car people are even as good a candidate as HRC was. If the election were today, I think the president would easily get over 270 votes in the EC. I think the democrats expect to be soundly thrashed by the EC count in 2020 (unless something dramatic happens) and are prepping the abolishment narrative now.
What I don’t get is - why now? In 10 years the imported democrat voter swamps the system and the US becomes a Marxist leaning superstate with a moribund husk of a former economy and an expansion of the current two tiered system of justice. The Electoral College will just be another rubber stamp on a single party, social justice government. What’s the rush to abolish the EC?

He’s claiming that the electoral college works against minorities. But it was designed to work for them. It’s like the old saying “Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner”. The electoral college is designed to give the sheep an equal representation.

The funny thing is that there are many things that these so-called “progressives” insist are perfectly Constitutional (everything from the department of education to social security) even though they aren’t in the Constitution but the 10thAmendment is....
