This article hero worships Fredo. It really only quotes him and makes it seem like he’s such a bad-ass that he completely shut down a heckler by talking tough. I mean really, how many of you would let Fredo step to you like that and you would just cower and hide?
Fredo has nothing to do with being Italian. Rush coined the moniker in reference to a putz worthless brother who owes his place in life to his ruthless powerful brother. Rush must be beaming on hearing of this confrontation.

Right, Rush is working the “loser sibling” angle with the name. Cuomo pretends he’s offended by its being an ethnic slur but really it’s the loser sibling thing that has stung him.
The insult isn't particularly Italian, although Fredo was in a fictional Italian family. It's more of a post-turtle insult--that he's prominent because of his father and brother. And that's why its a real insult and triggered him.

The guy was wrong about one thing, saying he’s much more reasonable in person than on TV. Cuomo can across as a punk, hiding behind the false narrative that Fredo has anything to do with Italians. It’s a pseudonym for a weak dumb loser person who think’s he’s smart.
Cuomo should be asked to take time off, he’s imbalanced and needs therapy. I guess that whole Fredo thing is really eating him alive.

That was some priceless sarcasm from the provocateur that flew right over your head. That guy taunting him was fantastic and I’m guessing by his composure and mannerisms would have hurt Cuomo badly and quickly if Fredo chose to swing at him rather than just scream like a child.
