Another advantage to Omaha would be that if we ever went to war with England again, we'd be able to stop their invasion before they got all the way to Omaha to burn the public buildings.

But it might make motel and hotel bills too expensive for people wanting to go to Omaha for the College World Series.

Of course, it wouldn't be IN Omaha. I'm sure there's a lot of open land nearby Omaha where they can find 10 square miles to cede to the federal government as the new capital district.

Just think of the shovel-ready jobs to build the new capital! Maybe they can even build it underground to protect from the tornadoes. We wouldn't want a House to fall on Nancy Pelosi.

There’s a reason why it’s important that dems never have unified power in the federal government.

If Dems win house / senate and presidency, DC will be a state, I guarantee it. If you sue, the newly expanded supreme court will rule 6-5 in favor of DC statehood.
