What is your DSL speed? Many DSL’s are pretty fast. Ours is 1 to 5 mbps (on a very good day)........
Hub doesn’t want to pay annual fee...we don’t watch that much...and we are buying more elsewhere, ie Walmart (who is getting more competitive also). Just a trade off.
I have Vudu. But what does having prime have to do with subscribing monthly to a channel or package of channels, ie directv, playstation vue, hulu, etc?
Ours runs around 2-3. Talk to some folks about the issue focused on your modem/router.
I used to run an internet company and am an EE. Modem not the problem.
Problem is ancient lines between our house and C.O. - many discussions with the services techs - nothing can be done. Service comes and goes, bandwith drops to 1mbps or less in evenings when everyone in our area is streaming, the DSLAM in our CO is outdated and overloaded, and Verizon is not going to put any money in it due to the limited # of customers on it.
They say they are waiting on 5G - but that is wireless, not landline.
I’ve been over this with the Verizon engineers thoroughly dozens of times. we are stuck.

We don’t do a lot of entertainment so we considered 80 a month for tv programming pretty frugal. I mean we were paying Directv on satellite 160 a month for basically the same channels.
We also do vudu, and amazon prime. When I buy DVDs I make sure to get the ones with digital copies and upload them to vudu that way I don’t have to bother putting the disc in the DVD player. I know that’s pretty lazy.
There are two of us in our household and we have four TVs. Smallest is a 40 inch 3d.
