Despite this being the biggest political scandal by far in American history we have yet to see a single sentence, paragraph or page from any of the FISA requests. Just saying.
It’s pretty hard to fit this into the “any day now” column. I’m thinking this one fits better in the “4 to 6 week” column.
This means very little if Steele with the backing of the British government refuses to discuss his interactions with the Hillary campaign, Cody Shearer, Sidney Blumenthal, his supposed "sources" listed in the dossier such as supposedly Sergei Millian, etc. etc.
So at the most we might learn that he never concealed from the FBI the fact that he was talking to the mainstream media. Big whoop.
What we need is Steele under oath in front of a grand jury, with no limits on the questions that may be asked.
You gotta give props to somebody whose face is on the money.
If the "interaction" with Steele is only regarding the FBI, does this somehow insulate Clapper and Brennan from any blow-back?

A small point of order. Baited breath is when Tom ate cheese hoping Jerry would walk into his mouth. Bated breath is a brief cessation of breathing- as in “abated”.

But, I do think the Brit government was involved and that President Trump's team has told them that there can be serious consequences if they do not now cooperate. In turn, I think they put unbearable pressure on Steele.
If I was DJT, I would be strongly considering an ultimatum of cooperate or NATO is dead. Essentially they were complicit in very dirty dealing in internal US politics.
The “source” was Sergei Skripal, the poisoned Russian ex-pat living in London for years. It wasn’t nerve gas, it was fentanyl. And HE was the one used to give the dossier a Russian “flavor”.
He was a very close friend of a Steele employee.

The Brits were massively deep in this and other Obama admin-involved illegal surveillance, not just of Trump.
But I think it is pretty clear from Trump’s visit that that is all being glossed over. So there is presumably some limited modified hangout that they have agreed to, including with the declassification. Therefore I have no confidence that what we’ll get to the full story, probably just some sort of coordinated surface smooth-over explanation.
I hate people who point out things like that. But I just had to use the Tom and Jerry line. A college professor used it on me decades ago.

I think that the absolute worse case scenario for this whole conspiracy is unfolding. When the architects got together they had to all agree that if this went sideways they would all burn and they’d convinced themselves that they could get away with it and eventually what...rule nations in decades to come? Somebody said that Seth Richards and a USB memory stick was the mole that fed the emails to Wikileaks and was murdered for it. I believe that story!
People keep saying that when all this is finished that it will be the biggest corruption scandal ever....and it sure looks like thats the case.

Sionce Steele could not even recall particulars of ‘his dossier’, it is likely that he is not the author of same. Watch for the name Sid Blumenthal to surface soon, IMHO.

My prediction: this will be a big nothing burger, just like everything else has been. Barr will do diddly-squat. Horowitz report will have french fry grease and BBQ sauce on it - but it will have NO MEAT.
No body will be held accountable. Justice is dead.

Interesting insight. I like that kind of outside the box thinking. I think it’s unlikely to be related but fascinating to consider the alternative!
