Nxivm members exceeded campaign donation limits back in 2007 when they gave thousands to Hillary Clinton according to a court filing
Raniere and his co-defendants reportedly gave money that was reimbursed by Nancy Salzman and Clare Bronfman Al Franken, Claire McKaskill, Ken Salazar and Tammy Duckworth also received donations from Nxivm according to records obtained by DailyMail.com
Records obtained by DailyMail.com also show that the group gave $10,000 to the Democratic Committee of South Carolina as well when Hillary needed a win
It seems that Hillary Clinton may have unknowingly played a large role in the racketeering charges that Nxivm founder Keith Raniere is currently facing in court.
Court documents filed by the US Attorney's office prior to the trail detail how multiple members of he cult - including all five of the defendants who were indicted in the case - exceeded the legal limit for campaign donations when giving money to Clinton's first campaign for president.
That motion, which sought to have evidence admitted to the case to support the racketeering allegations against the defendants, said that the funds were donated in hope of gaining influence over Clinton.
This plan hit an unexpected snag however when Clinton failed to even make it past the primary, with the former senator's momentum halted by the man who would go on to win the presidency, Barack Obama.
'At the suggestion of a political operative, who has since pleaded guilty to an unrelated New York state bribery charge also involving campaign contributions, the contributions were “bundled” and presented to the candidate at a fundraising event attended by conspirators, including Nancy Salzman.'

A purported pyramid-scheme operator who was run out of Arkansas when Bill Clinton was governor has reinvented himself as the head of an upstate group accused of being a “cult” – and his devotees have pumped thousands into Hillary Rodham Clinton‘s presidential run.
Executives and top associates of the Albany-based NXIVM group – along with their family members – donated $29,900 to Clinton’s presidential campaign, according to federal records.
On March 14 and April 13, records show, more than a dozen contributions poured into Clinton’s coffers from NXIVM, an executive and group-awareness training organization led by Brooklyn-born Keith Raniere, 47.
Most were from first-time political donors, each giving the $2,300 maximum.
The revelation comes on the heels of the arrest of Norman Hsu, who raised $1.5 million in campaign contributions for the Clintons and other Democrats, even though he was technically a fugitive from fraud charges in California.
Hsu jumped bail in early September but was nabbed and is currently locked up in California.
In his previous incarnation, the Svengali-like Raniere ran a $30 million multilevel marketing business that imploded after federal agencies and regulators in 23 states alleged it was an illegal pyramid scheme.
He has managed to attract famous names to NXIVM.
Three of the March and April Clinton pledges came from Raniere’s most high-profile followers: Seagram heiresses Clare and Sara Bronfman, and Pamela Cafritz, daughter of D.C. A-listers Buffy and Bill Cafritz.

Gillibrand's father, Doug Rutnik, was NXIVM's attorney for four months in 2004, paid $25,000 per month.
In 2004 Gillibrand left her NYC law firm to work in his Albany office, the period her father was working for NXIVM.

Gillibrand endorsed Eric Schneiderman for NYAG. Schneiderman later investigated Nxivm.......
then he suddenly closed the case BUT nobody knows what happened to the evidence collected.
Was there a Gillibrand/Schneiderman quid pro quo deal?
