I think that so long as Braun is talking about plans that involve getting the government out of healthcare then Im in agreement with him.
If hes talking about Obamacare 2.0 hes not getting my vote again.
Im sick of this RINO nonsense.
Pollster Richard Baris continues to tell me that this is an issue, and that the GOP ignores health care/Obamacare repeal at their own peril.
To Socialize any service (healthcare in particular), you must first make that service un-affordable .
Lawyers played a big part in that when they pushed laws that a doctor must give every test to ensure the patient is tested beyond what is needed.
Get government out of the health care business, period.
No clue what you’re talking about.
And one more snide little comment and I’ll report ya. Beat it.
Good point... lawyers probably cost folks 20% more for everything. Kinda a protection racket dont’cha think?
Remember the movie “The Devil’s Advocate” where Al Pacino (as Satan) explains: “Of course I’m a lawyer, we’re into everything.”
Unless you get rid of Medicare/Medicaid pricing it will never work. My wife has worked in healthcare on the finance side for 20 yrs. and these two entities are the cause of destruction. One incident she recalled was back in the 90’s in her rural hospital they were pricing a private room at $125 a day to their patients. Medicare/Medicaid came in and saw this and said absolutely not! You will charge a minimum of $225 a day on these rooms or we will cease payments.
On the other end she said for example(not exact numbers) they figured for a simple xray they figured $175 for a patient would allow them to pay for their overhead expenses, keep the equipment updated and give them 5-15% profit. Medicare/Medicaid says sorry we will pay you $75 for this type xray, end of discussion. So they are in the hole $100 for this procedure. Medicare might pay $75, Medicaid $50.
The Republican congress can’t walk and chew gum where obamacare is concerned and screwed the pooch having just had 6 years to come up with an alternative and lost the House for it. Trump would come off better proposing options that make sense, knowing the RATS will never pass and he can hang that and the obamacare crap sandwich on the RATS in 2020.
The Trump 2018 mid-terms are endlessly being used as a rationale to encourage GOP involvement in health care legislation.
Obama lost far more House seats in his first mid-term, and still more in 2012, which was all about health care.
The vaporings of a freshman senator are not convincing; neither, pace Baris, is a single pollster, certainly not this early, and maybe not at all under PDJT.
My idea is that a good look at this entire thread offers a reasonably clearcut view of what conservatives think of further intrusion by the government into their health care.
My apologies for the cheapshot in my earlier post. I took your reference to Mr. Baris as an indication of a certain pre-Trump clubbishness---a weakness of mine, more my fault than yours.
Much worse, I misread an earlier post and thought it was yours...entirely my fault.
