The Chicago PD claims Jussie Smollett paid Ola and Abel Osundairo $3,500 to fake an attack, but sources connected to the case tell TMZ that's just not the case.
Our sources say the brothers made a deal with Jussie to train him for 5 weeks so he could get in shape for an upcoming music video. Jussie had said to Ola that he wanted abs like his. Both Abel and Ola agreed to train Jussie, and also give him a 5-week nutrition plan.
Our sources say Jussie told the brothers he would pay them for their services, but no specific amount was discussed.
A few days before the "attack," Jussie wrote the brothers a check for $3,500. The memo line read, "5 weeks training nutrition plan."
Our sources say Ola and Abel told the grand jury they were paid for the 5-week program and not for the "attack." One source connected with the brothers did say Ola and Abel felt the amount was "a little high" but no one ever specifically said anything about any of the money being part of a scheme.
We've learned the brothers also told the grand jury that they had nothing to do with the threatening letter mailed to Jussie Smollett 8 days before the "attack."
I am guessing the brothers already told the police what they were paid for.

Wasn’t it reported that the letters in the fake threatening letter were cut out of a magazine which was found in the brothers’ apartment? So how were they not connected to the letter?

What this article claims was said to the Grand Jury sure didn’t come from the Grand Jury
It could only come from one of the 3 who were involved lawyers

If ‘training’ was written in the Memo section of the check, would that not have been mentioned when news of the check first made headlines?
I think TMZ’s source is suspicious.
This is just a tad too convenient — like the reporter allegedly finding the hot sauce bottle of bleach in an area that had already been searched.

The intention was for them to help create a hoax, they subsequently attended several different stores , one for bleach and rubber gloves, one for Red MAGA hats, and one other a hardware store where the purchased a rope noose?

TMZ originally breathlessly reported the fake hoax as a real attack. and now I see they are going to carry the defense water. The police may have erred in making it all about money which it isn’t it was political.
I always said that once this got out of the finding facts stage and into the legal wranglings the story would turn to favor Smollett because of the agendas involved. These brothers are stupid and dishonest as well as he was and the defense will exploit that and I’ll be an idiot on the jury who will feel sorry for Smollett.
And this case we just have to accept but at least the hoax was uncovered and that ultimately he will still be a celebrity on the left because I don’t care about the truth
