This year I feel like there's more ice at the poles and less CO2 in the atmosphere. Anyone who doesn't agree is a bigot. Next year, I will feel the opposite, and words must be changed in public conversation to cater to these feelings of mine. It's my share of the air, and I decide what it is called.
Let me add one thing to your excellent post. Even when we are permitted to see a glimpse of the “Global Warming” data, we are never told what the range of uncertainly is.
A reported 2 cm rise in the sea level might have a calculated uncertainty of +/- 3 cm. Then the measurement itself would be meaningless.
By the way, I don’t believe that 90% of scientists really agree with Global Warming. Awhile back I read an article about how pervasive String Theory is in theoretical physics. It’s the hot, new topic (even though there is no experimental evidence to back it up).
So if you’re applying for a professorship in physics, you sure as hell had better say you accept String Theory. I suspect the same thing is going on with Global Warming.
Inslee certainly IS a d-bag! I have seen him before and he (sometimes) makes Hank Johnson look like a genius. This is what we have to look forward to until 2020.
I know. Just wait until Ginsberg leaves or dies. They are going to pull out any stops they haven’t already. They see it as a life-or-death political struggle.
We should too.
