President Donald Trump sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter Thursday informing her that he was postponing her upcoming overseas trip because of the ongoing partial government shutdown.
The letter served as the president's response to Pelosi's letter the day before urging the president to either delay his State of the Union address or submit it in writing.
"Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed," Trump wrote. "We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over."

Nah. The only thing better would be if this brings on a massive stroke for Nan. I can’t imagine how extremely pissed she must be. I picture Rumpelstiltskin screwing his leg into the ground he was so angry.

Nevertheless, I would pay to see her stand in a TSA line for 5 hours or so.

She has no path forward LOL, no authority to commandeer military equipment – she's perfectly free to use lobbyist transport (private jet) or, as Trump suggested, fly commercial.

Wouldn't it be grand if Access Hollywood had a tape recorder on that bus, and recorded all the foul things said about Trump by Pelosi and her ilk? I wonder what stories that Air Force bus driver could tell. Hopefully they'll let him live.

Bush ordered that the Speaker of the House be afforded secure government transportation on military aircraft when traveling on official business...In '07, Speaker Pelosi inquired about the availability and rules regarding the use of military aircraft other than the C-20B. ...[like] a C-32 Boeing 757, (which the Air Force describes as seating up to 45 passengers) so that she could travel in luxury and reward her financial contributors with lavish trips.
Speaker Pelosi said that her inquiry involved security issues, primarily that she should have access, when needed, to an aircraft capable of flying non-stop between Washington and California, a quality the Air Force said was not possessed under all conditions by the C-20 aircraft used by her predecessor.
It was the then-House Sergeant at Arms, Bill Livingood, who issued the request that, if necessary, the Speaker have access to a military plane meeting the non-stop security requirements for travel to and from her home district."
