“One fine morning I got all speedy with either Bic or the cheapos.”

Hey, well, a cheap shave is tempting! But I don’t wanna make my face look any worse than it already is by having to wear bandaids after I shave, heh. Bad enough I have to endure the indignity of having toilet paper hanging from my chin to stop the bleeding after a BIC shave.

I’m guessing I’m safe buying Brut aftershave.

Yes, if you make sure no woman sees you go into the store aisle or checkout lane, and you are wearing funny nose glasses, a paste-on mustache and a fedora hat.

Men have no rights, no freedom and absolutely no freedom of speech or expression. Ask Papa John founder, Jimmy the Greek, Curt Schilling or dozens of others not as famous.

I bet they have a VP of social justice and equally. Once this crap gets institutionalized it’s hard to eradicate.

The REALLY scary thing is their marketing department has calculated that this is the way to increase sales. They don't make these moves lightly and on a whim.

Yes and no. Occasionally a big shot, like a CEO, decides just does what he wants regardless of the numbers. Dicks Sporting Goods is a clear example, if you take him at his word the CEO says "we knew we'd get killed and lose tons of money" but he wanted to ruin shareholder's wealth to signal his virtue anyway.

I think in many companies they have some young female millenial they look to and say "what are the young and hip into?" and she says "oh, everyone is totally socially conscious! You have to be woke or you can't sell anything!" and the CEO says "woke, huh? Yeah, that makes sense. Do it!"

And thus far the new maxim "Get woke, go broke" still works every single time.

Switch to Henry’s. Better blades. Less expensive. No social messages.

Real men use electric shavers.

It’s faster, cheaper, and good enough.

Toxic feminism....

Problem is, only women are allowed to be admirable in ads. The men (color white, of course) are

the buffoon who didn’t prepare with insurance,

the jerk who bought the competitor’s inferior product and watches his wife condescendingly shake her head over him, and

the loser who fooloshly paid good money for a product or service that any woman could have told him was mistake (and the female voice over will now rub it in).

Around 50 years of straight putdowns of males in ads has taken its toll. The David Hoggs and male ballet dancers who today represent masculinity would hide behind the nearest woman in a physical fight if mommy was not close by.

To be honest, I’m not even sure who bought it for me. I don’t even remember if it was a gift or what. Must have been, because I very rarely wore a beard. But it was a great trimmer.

I’m guessing it was a gift from my Mom (RIP) or a sibling. Looks like I put it away. Let my beard grow during the end of that impossible job years ago. It’s easier than slicing and dicing my face every day.

I’m glad the batteries are out there but don’t have my soldering gun laying around anymore. So I’ll have to get one of those too. A cheap one.

And then, my trio of razors shall be complete! (I’m coordinating with Pinky and the Brain)

Might find one in some other package you put on the shelf years ago!

Just boycott Gillette. They’re the knuckleheads who came up with the ad. (If it was Procter and Gamble themselves, we’ll all be living on nuts and berries. I think boycotting Gillette will be sufficient.)

Nope, gotta send the money and do the work.

One of these days.....
