We fly in and out of Fort Lauderdale on a regular basis. A few months ago a Spirit flight landed and my husband and I wondered from what 3rd world country it had originated. What a motley group of people deplaned. It was from Atlanta.

Some years ago (late 80's - early 90's) I used to live down that way and fly a lot. The best ones in those days were from NYC. The newspapers used to run stories like "You won't believe what someone tried to carry on their flight". Probably can't do that anymore because not politically correct to laugh at the 3rd worlders.

Every. single. time. I have flown in the last 15 years, it was just a headache-— between late flights, luggage lost, not enough time to get to next connection, and.... rude people on the plane... oh, and did I mention rude power hungry slobby TSA workers??

If I could be so bold to ask, I may have to fly in a month or so to the east coast. I see here that United and Spirit are to be avoided, but could you tell me what would be the best airline to try for in your opinion? TIA
