Friedman speaks for the establishment - of both parties. Trump crossed a red line with the establishment by announcinga Syria pullout. I won’t be surprised if the GOP establishment forces him out of office by refusing to protect him from impeachment conviction in the Senate
The fact that Trump doesn’t want to be ONE MISTAKE away from getting into a HOT WAR with the Russians, over God knows why, I guess, is too much for leftists to deal with.

As to watershed moments - there were so many according to him. He said the US disengaged from the world in the 1930’s and we got WWII in return. Don’t know where he studied history or did he? He grudgingly agreed with some of the actions Trump has taken..
