“Climate Change” is the go-to for people with no answers to serious problems; they can feel good because real results can’t be measured (and propagandists will insist tiny baby steps are “progress”).

For a preview of coming attractions, all they need to do is look at NYS.

They can’t say they weren’t warned.

They have until 2032 to stop flying.

In other news, I think my New Years resolution is going to be to quit drinking. So, looks like I have 12 days to drink my a$$ off just in case I decide to keep that resolution.

Washington DC - Another democrat/minority run Idiocracy.

If it wasn’t for the federal government presence Washington would be just another Little Mogadishu.

And the very large and mostly poor Black population thanks you for the coming sky high utilities prices. Silly me, come 2033 lawmakers will vote for taxpayers outside of DC to subsidize said sky-high utility prices. Burn it down and start over.

Wonderful. Another moron who say something will be done in the distant future, providing no information on how much it will cost, who will pay for it, who gets the money and what happens if it doesn’t work?

Ask your climate alarmists these questions and you are guaranteed to get this response back, “You’re a racist!”

But they sure are good at catching “speeders.” Last year a DC camera tagged me doing 42 in a 30. $150 fine.

The speed limit dropped from 50-30 in thirty feet. This particular single camera generates $13,000,000 (that’s MILLION DOLLARS) in “safety” annually.

DC Government is scum.

The council passed one of the most ambitious climate bills in the country on Tuesday requiring the District to get all of its energy from renewables by 2032...

Are the DC Council members making fools of themselves?

Do they understand the technical and economic feasibility issues?

Do they know that renewable energy technologies only work intermittently, not 24/7? Do they know that power is required 24/7?

Have they really looked at the failures of Germany to achieve their kind of energy independence?

Or are they just Democrats who believe in symbolism over substance?

Fossil fuels provide power 24/7. They are "stored" forms of energy created by the Sun many years ago.

There is no complexity. The DC leadership is black. That is all that matters.

Projection of black power is all that is involved. There is no rationality involved

Yes, the next step is that all electricity is free.

If this actually goes forward, it will be another powerful spur to gentrification. Low income people will be hammered and will have an added incentive to move.

Oh no, never. "low income" people will get their electricity for free. The beauty of socialist climate change is that the rich have to pay to "fix" it.

Guess we should close all the airports in DC since they don’t need airliners anymore.

re: “they buy electricity from the grid including texas created electrons”

Not quite bert. There is very limited interconnection between Texas and the Eastern (or Western US) ‘Grid’.

In fact, the 2 (two) DC (not AC) “ties” are across the Red River into Oklahoma.

I think the 3rd tie connects to the Western grid (or maybe into Mexico) but I would have to check on that one.

The Hip Hop Caucus?! LOL!

Stories like this often make me think about the experiment to mix African honey bees with European honey bees. What we got was a violent breed that has supplanted productive native species and spread like a cancer.
