President Trump on Monday denied the hush-money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal in the weeks leading up to the 2016 election were campaign contributions, instead calling them a "simple private transaction.”

“So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution,” Trump tweeted.

Good point because payments like this are made all the time and FEC regulations allow them. Curious how uncomfortable the DOJ actually is about actually calling them illegal in that they could have indicted Cohen for them, instead of just including them in a plea deal, and then they could have called our PRESIDENT Trump and "unindicted co-conspirator," which they didn't.

Key word here is Dems. The so-called “justice” Department has been an enforcer for the ‘Rats for the last eight years or so.

Its not hush money when the women went to Candidate Trump for the pay off, we call that extortion.

We will go public and tell stories about you and me, some of it true, some of it not true, the media will buy it or you can pay us money and we will go away. Sorry bitches, that is extortion.

Starting to sound more and more like the Nixon playbook every day.

And that makes this smell like Hillary.

Which may be why there's some inkling of her running again.

Campaign contribution to whom? To Democrat and russian mafia extortion? Ha! What a joke.

In that case, what do we make of our reps using hush money to pay off sex harassment issues in congress?

How about the money that Congress has paid out to “quiet” the escapades of Congress folks. When will their names be published?

A candidate can contribute unlimited funds to his campaign.

With Trump’s history with women, I bet he has paid off a few others in the past way before he ran for president which would prove it’s just another private transaction.

No one wants to listen or hear it but Cohen has criminally betrayed President Trump. There is no justice.

everyone remember he’s denied both of these allegations. While being a Playboy billionaire for decades I’m sure he’s had plenty of people make claims trying to get a cut.

John Edwards, Democrat, to hush up an actual Affair that included a baby and was over $1000000. What that means is no collusion, no campaign Finance problem with these two bimbos since Edwards was found not guilty and the courts said this was a personal matter also if you’re still confused see Bill Clinton. the list would be endless and everyone in New York and Washington knows it. You could probably get Octavio I’m a Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters et al, to impeach Trump for buying a new suit on the grounds that it could influence the election and the tailor is a co-conspirator. Dey got Nuttin. but they’ll keep trying. Time to push the button on the proof of conspiracy and Corruption in the Department of Justice and FBI and Obama White House and Clinton campaigns. Ol Bob needs to go into retirement. he was once a good man anyone in the corps had to be at one point. but this prevent then hinder the presidency plan the Democrats cooked up his past its sell-by date. They got what they wanted more representatives in the house than they would have but still better than the last four presidents for Trump.
If they really want all the Democrats who’ve done the same things as his the petty indictments and confessions revealed ate daily fare for the Democrats and they really, really don’t want to go there. podesta Clinton Obama Etc.

Sounds like a nice item for a Christmas declassification list.

We need to massively turn the heat up on Congress about the secretive payments (with public funds!!!) to settle 150+ sexual harassment cases. Every one of these should be treated as a “campaign” contribution, forced upon the public (not made from candidate’s personal funds). Congress creatures are constantly facing re-election, especially in the House every 2 years.... so any such illicit payments can properly be represented as supporting the “campaign” of the Rep. or Senator responsible.

All those Congresscritters who used public dollars to pay off their staff problems need to be exposed and hounded out of office. BOth parties.... though I will guess there are a lot more ‘Rats than Pubbies involved, but let the chips fall where they may. Expose the cretins!!

Can you say "NEVER." Far too many past and present people of government would be exposed and embarrassed.

This will be buried PERMANENTLY.

If Trump is impeached he should be allowed discovery into the names of the Congressmen and women who caused the $17M payouts from the hush money fund of Congress.
