Kasich couldn’t be elected dog catcher even in Columbus, and Flake has dismal approvals even in Arizona. He’d be a total dead battery everywhere else. I think you are right. If the economy were to go south and Mueller is able to find anything I could see the establishment trying to establish a Romney bandwagon.
I don’t see Cruz thinking it is time yet and the others are not serious candidates.
The Republican party was all but dead on the floor before Trump. Depending on what happens regarding Trump, they could dead before they hit the floor. We’ll see.
Romney won’t run until 2024.
