He will never call on Acosta again and CNN will be forced to pull Acosta from its press pool. In the end, Acosta and CNN should have been careful what they wished for.

1. Do what Washing DC did under the District of Columbia v. Heller ruling, fight for another 8 years before allowing guns.

2. So the judge said give him his hard press pass back. Ok, did the judge say the White House had to allow entrance? Or maybe the White House would need to run a new back ground check prior to supplying the hard pass. Or maybe CNN would need to promise that Jim would only ask one question. All kind of hold ups could block coming into the White House.

3. New White House rule, TSA will check each press member prior to coming into the White House. And the TSA's officials have the authority to conduct body cavity searches!

I know he has to weigh whether he’ll be impeached or not over asserting his constitutional power as the executive but the damage being done to the separation of powers and the Constitution itself is catastrophic

This. At the very least there should be an emergency appeal. On the other hand, I think the President just needs to inform the Judge that he has no jurisdiction over the White House, and he needs to go f*** himself.

This is insane. No president would have ever tolerated this.

Well that would be interesting if it weren’t for the idea I think that’s what Acosta and the dingbats want to happen.

No doubt they do, because the incoming Democrats would use that as an excuse to impeach.

But this needs to be addressed. George Washington would have physically assaulted anyone who acted like Acosta, and then he would go have a personal talk with that Judge.

Jackson would have probably killed both of them, or at the very least, given them the thrashing of their lives.

“In the meantime, both President Trump and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders have promised to write up and publish a formal set of rules for decorum that Acosta and all other fake reporters must follow while on the White House grounds and during press briefings.”

z’Trump told Wallace it’s “not a big deal,” saying, “What they said, though, is that we have to create rules and regulations for conduct… we’re doing that, we’re going to write them up right now. It’s not a big deal. And if he misbehaves, we’ll throw him out or we’ll stop the news conference.” “

they should have done this 18 months ago ...

The first rule is that the Administration makes the rules.
The second rule is that the Administration shall be the sole judge of conduct.

The 5th amendment does not apply, given that the context of it is “criminal case”, “capital” or “otherwise infamous crime”...not administrative matters.

The whole case should have been thrown out from the start. Since it was not What happen I that for the first time in history the WH will set rules and the decorum for so-called reporters that will be allowed in the press briefings. If violated they can lose their press pass are be kicked out. Acosta and the rest of the children may end up wishing they had not taken this to court. Who is setting the rules the President people.

badge will be restored while the case is being heard and will be revoked again should the Judge ultimately rule against the plaintiffs.

Seems to me a good judge would butt out. "This is an executive branch decision. Article I officers decide who is permitted to encroach on executive branch activities. I am an Article III officer. Just as the President cannot tell me how to run my courtroom, so I cannot tell the President how to run his press operations."

Acosta was not provided with “sufficient notice or explanation before his credentials were revoked or been given sufficient opportunity to respond before they were.” As it happened, Acosta was actually given no notice at all

So?

Is he an employee or something?
