Mueller's investigation of Trump is going too far
CNN ^ | Sun August 6, 2017 | Matthew Whittaker (New Attorney General)

(CNN)Last month, when President Donald Trump was asked by The New York Times if special counsel Robert Mueller would be crossing a line if he started investigating the finances of Trump and his family, the President said, "I think that's a violation. Look, this is about Russia." The President is absolutely correct. Mueller has come up to a red line in the Russia 2016 election-meddling investigation that he is dangerously close to crossing. According to a CNN article, Mueller's investigators could be looking into financial records relating to the Trump Organization that are unrelated to the 2016 election. According to these reports, "sources described an investigation that has widened to focus on possible financial crimes, some unconnected to the 2016 election." The piece goes on to cite law enforcement sources who say non-Russia-related leads that "involve Trump associates" are being referred to the special counsel "to encourage subjects of the investigation to cooperate."

This information is deeply concerning to me. It does not take a lawyer or even a former federal prosecutor like myself to conclude that investigating Donald Trump's finances or his family's finances falls completely outside of the realm of his 2016 campaign and allegations that the campaign coordinated with the Russian government or anyone else. That goes beyond the scope of the appointment of the special counsel...

Between Shep and Napalitano it’s like watching CNN.

The best outcome would be to transform the Mueller probe into some sort of larger investigation of Democrat wrongdoing from 2009 to present day. Trump should call it the Nuanced Impeachment Probe.

Rosensweasel was running out the clock to get the Rats to run the House. Well that’s what happened. After yesterday he figured he was safe. Time to drop the hammer on the evil little prick.

How can the Mueller witch hunt be over? Mueller’s not found a single witch & Trump is still standing.

And everything that Adam Shitt was going to try to hide the President can declassify in a keystroke.

What Little Shitt can’t hide is a investigation into his leaking of at the time classified material.

Enjoy yourself Little Adam Shitt.

Sometimes these wins/losses are a blessing in disguise.

This is like watching a soap opera each day but it’s the real deal.

DJT is settling all “family business” after the midterms. First body dropped: Jeff Sessions. Who’s next? Rosenstein was already neutered a few weeks back, but now there’s an acting A-G who ranks him. So I guess Rod is the second body to drop.

I don’t think this is CNN reporting, it is the new acting AG’s commentary.

IMO, if there is an honest to goodness investigation into the collusion between HRC & DNC with FBI & CIA and foreign agents, then Rod Rosenstein is either a conspirator or material witness and putting him under the microscope would force him to resign.

Possibly the same with Mueller.

Instead of firing them, and as much as I dislike the SP law, I am of the opinion that the corruption in the DOJ (FBI, CIA, Obama WH) to collude and conspire with the DNC and HRC campaign needs to be investigate by a Special Prosecutor. The DOJ cannot investigate itself. That is too big a conflict of interest. This situation more than almost any other I can think of begs for a Special Prosecutor to investigate.

Trump is already under investigation. He was specifically targeted by the Mueller appointment letter. So now, just appoint another one to cover the other candidates and parties involved in the 2016 election - in the interest of getting foreign (and domestic) influence out of our elections. An honest investigation will show Rod to be conflicted and IMO he would be forced to resign, and a new SP will have to call Mueller to give testimony which would also expose some of his conflicts... maybe not make him resign, but enough to keep him in check.

I think Trump is setting the stage to take this into phase 2. But don’t trust me, because I am down on myself over being way too optimistic about the elections. Trump gave me a shot of morale today, I am very happy to see things move and hope they move swiftly to bring justice to the conspirators. Once the House changes hands their investigation will end... someone has to pick it up where they left off. IMO, a SP is the only real and honest solution since DOJ can’t investigate its own.

FISA declassification ....AND (I hope) appointment of a second special prosecutor empowered to investigate any or all of the following

FBI/DOJ abuses, such as unmasking, leaks, obstruction, etc.
Democrat/Media meddling in elections
Election fraud
Hillary Clinton
The Mueller investigation
... and please let me know if I’m forgetting something!
