No Native American DNA was used in the comparison sample as they didn’t have enough. Instead by proxie they used Mexico, Puru and Columbia. Junk Science.

The Cherokee are rather stringent about the use of the Dawes Roll for establishing membership in the tribe. Many Cherokee whose ancestors did not participate in the Trail of Tears or relocated to Indian Territory and remained in original territory. Many assimilated into the White population. The tribe do not recognize them as Cherokee.
Of course, Elizabeth Warren may not be Cherokee. Pocahontas was Powhatan.
