Wonder how many tornados are spinning off of that?
St George Island, Dog Island, etc will be damaged badly. Probably the oyster beds in Apalachicola Bay will be hurt.
Many bridges are now closed that served as evacuation routes.
Noticed the last few satellite frames are showing a northward wobble again, which brings PCB back into direct line. Still hoping it curves a little more east toward lesser populated areas.
Just noticed that. Yikes!
...Serious flooding and storm surge already happening
Indian Pass, FL coastal flooding in Gulf County...
View is looking north into Indian Lagoon on the west side of Apalachicola Bay
Florida does a great job for durning and after hurricanes its the people that own these places that get people killed.
Port St. Joe had a major paper mill right on the bay. Closed in the late 90s. Huge employer in the area. Town lost a lot of people after it closed.

Something tells me that plaque will be moving elsewhere after this.
$10 Billion in air force planes at Little Rock AFB, Adams Field (LIT), and Barksdale AFB. Poor pilots had to catch a LRAFB C130 back to their base to ferry more planes. More planes than pilots on short notice.
mikebettes 55m55 minutes ago More So, change of plans. Wx is too bad to drive now. Our crew will be staying put in Apalachicola. We have sturdy shelter, are a good distance from the water, and have a lot of supplies. Landfall just hours from now. 0:08 71 replies 121 retweets 282 likes Reply 71 Retweet 121 Like 282 _______________________________________

The best time to collect shells down by the fort is after one of those storms.
Across the Bay from St Jo, from the penninsula, I once went snorkeling for bay scallops.
The next morning, On TV I witnessed the planes flying into the World Trade Center
WUT? Government good, people bad?
You ever heard of freedom of choice, self-determination, liberty, freedom or property rights? People have the right to choose their place to live and whatever fate awaits them.
And don’t give me that C that it “endangers the lives of first responders” because they don’t go out in the worst of it. That’s just another lame excuse to grab peoples’ property rights and deny them the liberty to own property where one has their right to.
Natural disasters seem to always bring out the Nanny State BS to justify seizing liberties and freedoms from The People.
And WE KNOW that once they’ve take property and liberites from The People that politicans and the politically-connected will be granted sole right to rebuild in these areas, usually using tax payer money! Example: Honeymoon Island, FL.
Tell them to locate the blue shed...
From your lips to Gods ears.......
Fortunately, that part of Georgia is very rural farm country.....if it hit ATL the electrical infrastructure damage would be catastrophic......
Not wishing bad weather on anyone but if it has to go through Georgia, south of Macon is the best path ......
In the latest radar loop, the eye appears to shrink. Anybody notice this? This may indicate the dang thing is still getting stronger.
True.
