Bottom Line: Trump Did What McCain Could Not
Eagle Action Report ^ | 8/27/2018 | Felicia Tweedy

It wasn't until recent years that I found myself in opposition to John McCain. The once "maverick" and "hawk" was anything but. He became a bought and paid for politician that had many in his own Party, turning on him. If it wasn't enough to learn about the numerous donations from George Soros linked businesses to his campaigns, with the rise of Donald Trump, we saw a very bitter and embattled man, who lashed out in policy decisions from what appeared to be his own personal issues.

Trump did what McCain could not. Trump went on the attack - even brutally at times - and got away with it. Trump transformed the Republican Party during his run for the White House and worst of all for McCain, Trump now occupies the White House, which McCain never achieved.

More than that, Trump will carry the flag for the next term. All this while McCain is worm food.

But Trump did what McCain can no longer do. Cave. He caved on the flag issue yesterday.

It’s a shame that John McCain, while alive, lived and even in death was full of bitterness, anger and hate. Yes, my husband and I voted Republican in 2008, but we voted because of Sarah Palin. If she had not been on the ticket, we were not going to vote for McCain.

Somewhere around his late 60s...maybe at the Keating Five point, McCain should have walked away.

There’s absolutely nothing to show for achievements (even the 2008 election) for the past fifteen years. Yeah, he did help ISIS thugs organize, and probably played a role in the Ukraine war. His bitter childish behavior with President Trump? Not even worth discussing for his record.

McCain became the swamp..it is what happens when you want to loved by the media..

As Rush would say the media made him and destroyed him in the election..

Now there in love with him to get at Trump..

Trump has played the media game for forty years...they will never beat him..

"Trump now occupies the White House,..."

This President has accomplished so many things in spite of the constant railing against him from MSM, talking heads, and the Democrat Party,,,,the Joseph Gobbles propaganda is not working...this hard working President is as strong as ever.

McCain was too stump stupid to realize that you can never win by losing. He thought that if he just kept kissing liberal ass they would like him and vote for him for POTUS.

Wrong. They only liked having him as a candidate because he was too stupid to win.

McCain’s life mission was completing the Bush Plan for North Mexico.

Or, Trump got a bunch of flag-haters to admit that the symbolism the flag represents is worthy of acknowledgement.

“But Trump did what McCain can no longer do. Cave. He caved on the flag issue yesterday.”

He did. And that disappoints me. The White House could have clearly stated that they were following the Federal register in honoring McCain. Then they took heat and backed down.

But what should have happened is the flag at the WH should have stayed at half staff ‘til McCain’s funeral. The minute it’s over, the flag comes back up to full staff.

Trump should have used the opportunity to show how much more statesmanlike he was than McCain.

Trump is smart enough to choose his battles carefully. He is gradually and methodically WINNING the war. Never forget that.

Have you notices ‘the press’ NEVER pushes a democrat ‘maverick’...

Any democrat who stands up to the democrat party and sides with Republicans is ignored or slammed by the press. The press doesn’t put up with turncoats... not Democrat turncoats - not for a minute. No ‘Meet the Press’ love-ins for a democrat ‘maverick’...

But a Republican willing to bash fellow Republicans? That person becomes a darling of the press ... welcome on every show...Bill Kristo’s the perfect example... he hates Trump he’s got a job.

Ever hear of a democrat who hated Obama and was rewarded with a job in the MSM? NEVER. Creepy little double-standard press bastards...

Trump gave them a tiny, meaningless victory, he took the issue off the table whilst still winning the war.

Occasionally you’ll need to pick your battles.

McCain, a petty little man, is worm food.
Trump is the best-ever president.
