This is the candidate who can beat Stabenow...but he'll need to probably raise $10 million to do it so people can see and hear from him and know who he is to compete with Stabenow's mountain of cash. He's not a "generic Republican" by any means and can draw a strong contrast.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

Congratulations to a future STAR of the Republican Party, future Senator John James. A big and bold victory tonight in the Great State of Michigan - the first of many. November can’t come fast enough!

Worthy black Republicans tend to have funding problems — that are worth fixing here. Trump needs to go eyeball-to-eyeball with the RNC in support of this guy.

It’s candidates like James who will get my campaign donations.

Debbie Backstabber needs to be term limited...and James might be the one to term limited her...How does it look for the election for Michigan’s Republicans?

I think he’ll WOW them in Detroit if he adapts Trump’s “What do you have to lose, hey minorities?” message to his own campaign. Let’s see...handsome polite accomplished black man contrasted with a pasty ol’ white woman in Detroit....yup...Stabenow is in trouble!

Lena Epstien wins the 11th CD primary, proving a wise decision in switching races.

She narrowly beat out former State Rep and 2002 Senate nominee Rocky Raczkowski. He’s now 0-3 in comeback attempts, lost CD 9 in 2010 and a State Senate primary to Joe Knollenberg’s son in 2014. All were very close loses.

The Reindeer farmer Kerry Bentivolio came in DEAD LAST!! Ha.
