John James wins Michigan's U.S. Senate Republican primary

John James has won the Republican nomination in Michigan's U.S. Senate race.

With 29 percent of precincts reporting, initial results on Tuesday night showed James with 56.96 percent of the vote to opponent Sandy Pensler's 43.04 percent. The Associated Press called the race for James at 10:11 p.m.

James will go on to face incumbent Democrat Debbie Stabenow in the general election. Stabenow, who was unopposed in the Democratic primary, was first elected to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate since 2000.

In a statement following the call, James said Stabenow "better get ready for the fight of her political life."

"I don't have a Black message. I don't have a White message. I have a Michigan message," James said. "We need people who have experience getting results. You aren't going to get results from a 43-year career politician."

Debbie Backstabber needs to be term limited...and James might be the one to term limited her...How does it look for the election for Michigan’s Republicans?

I think he’ll WOW them in Detroit if he adapts Trump’s “What do you have to lose, hey minorities?” message to his own campaign. Let’s see...handsome polite accomplished black man contrasted with a pasty ol’ white woman in Detroit....yup...Stabenow is in trouble!

Works for me.

I heard him on the radio the other day and he impressed me more than anyone I’ve heard in a long time.

Oh I think he can overcome that...many blacks are looking for an excuse to jump with something other than they’ve been dealt by the Dem’s. James might be the one that breaks the logjam.

My concern is that they’ll try to do the ol’ “hey he abused or sexually harassed me” bit on him...try to ‘judge roy’ him. Maybe try to trot out some old army female fellow flyer who says he took “extra liberties” with her while they were all out on liberty....

Watch your back James!

Yep.

No doubt the Dem slime machine is in overdrive trying to manufacture some focus group tested smear campaign to destroy him.

They’re probably auditioning young women to serve as his accusers right now.

Keep in mind that there are many whites who have been taught that voting Republican is racist who may question the veracity of these teachings by trying to figure out how voting against a black candidate in favor of a white candidate jives with this lie they have had pushed on them.

Lena Epstien wins the 11th CD primary, proving a wise decision in switching races.

She narrowly beat out former State Rep and 2002 Senate nominee Rocky Raczkowski. He’s now 0-3 in comeback attempts, lost CD 9 in 2010 and a State Senate primary to Joe Knollenberg’s son in 2014. All were very close loses.

The Reindeer farmer Kerry Bentivolio came in DEAD LAST!! Ha.

Forgot to mention Governor Synder is butthurt that his LT was obliterated in the gubernatorial primary. Didn’t go to the unity dinner. “Isn’t ready to endorse” Schuette.

What a tool. Maybe he and Kasich and start a “Hall and Oates” tribute band called “Two Losers who will never be President”.

Snyder has proven to be “One Snowflake Nerd.” He needs to man up and endorse (and campaign for, at least in areas where he might help) the GOP nominee, full stop. Whatever differences he may have with fellow Republicans, he should know damn well that the Democrats are the real enemy. That’s what other Republicans did in 2010 when Snyder beat a couple of more-conservative Republicans in the GOP gubernatorial primary; had Michigan conservatives hemmed and hawed like Snyder is doing now, Michigan would have had another Democrat governor for the next four or perhaps eight years.

I’m sorry Peter Hoekstra didn’t stomp his ass in 2010.

Synder pulls a Sandoval and confirms he will not endorse Schuette.

This trash needs to have NO FUTURE in GOP politics.

A shame he was dropped as a defendant in a class action suit over Flint’s dirty water.
