Apple confirmed on Monday that it had removed five out of six podcasts, which includes Jones' infamous The Alex Jones Show.
Facebook has also removed four pages that belong to Jones.
Both companies said Jones violated hate speech policies on their respective platforms.
Apple and Facebook clamped down on content by Alex Jones Monday, with the former pulling five of his podcasts and the latter removing four pages controlled by him.
Apple confirmed on Monday that it had removed five out of six podcasts, which includes Jones' infamous "The Alex Jones Show" as well as a number of other InfoWars audio streams. The news was originally reported by BuzzFeed News.
Jones, a controversial conspiracy theorist who has claimed that the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting was a hoax, has been hit with other content bans from the likes of Google's YouTube and Spotify.
Apple's move seems slightly more dramatic — the company has taken down entire libraries of InfoWars podcasts, rather than a select few episodes.
"Apple does not tolerate hate speech, and we have clear guidelines that creators and developers must follow to ensure we provide a safe environment for all of our users," an Apple spokesperson said in a statement on Monday.
"Podcasts that violate these guidelines are removed from our directory making them no longer searchable or available for download or streaming. We believe in representing a wide range of views, so long as people are respectful to those with differing opinions."
Facebook ban
Later on Monday morning, Facebook announced it was removing four of Jones' pages for persistently uploading content in breach of the social network's content guidelines.

If they are allowed to censor Alex as a test case, then it's only a matter of time before they censor Free Republic, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, conservatives, Patriots and Nationalists. They will say if they can do it to Infowars, then they can do it to anyone.
Alex is a huge supporter of President Trump and is very effective to bringing younger people over to President Trump's side. Plus as an American Alex has the right to his opinion. Good men and women have died so that we can preserve our Rights.
For those of you that say Facebook and Apple are private companies so they can do this? I ask you can these companies discriminant on race, religion or sex?
Answer: No they would be shut down in heartbeat.

First amendment applies to government. Not private companies.

The first amendment does not apply to private property, such as Facebook. That is the problem. I do not use Facebook, and am really appalled by its success and the dependency it has fostered, but it is what it is, a publicly-traded private corporation that runs a wildly successful information exchange. Since the government does not own or operate it, the First Amendment does no apply to their operations or conduct.
I worked in the regulated public utility sector while in law school and I sometimes think that the public utility model of regulation might be applied to Google's search engine to assure that thumbs are not on the scale of returned results. There you can say that 97% of online searches are conducted using Google and that monopolistic status invites abuse, and to combat abuse we impose regulation. For Facebook its a less strong argument.

They are telling absolute lies about Alex, just as they have all alone. Unfortunately a lot of people like Jim Robinson bought into them.
If they succeed in taking out Alex Jones, it won’t be long before they get around to Free Republic.
The end is in sight for them if they don’t shut everybody down very soon. This is a dangerous time for us all.

It’s the same reason why they are even shutting down prayers in public schools. For instance,a high school football team doing it.
Look at the part where first Amendment says, that congreee shall not prohibit the free exercise of... Then how are they allowed to ban prayers on high school football team?
