Democratic Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen on Monday called for the “military folks” to save America from President Donald Trump after Trump’s much-criticized press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!” Cohen wrote on Twitter, using language suggestive of a military coup.
Cohen later said that he was in no way calling for a coup. “No coup called for,” he wrote, claiming it unlikely that someone would call for a coup on Twitter.
Cohen’s bizarre tweet was similar to one from former Obama CIA Director John Brennan, who claimed on Monday that Trump’s press conference was “treasonous.” (RELATED: Ex-CIA Director John Brennan Accuses Trump Of Treason Following Putin Summit)

Whether or not his call for a military coup is a prosecutable crime comes down to whether he said it on the House Floor or not. If he was on the House floor when he said it he would be protected by the immunity clause. But, if he was sitting in an MSNBC Studio being interviewed when he said it then I think he could be prosecuted for sedition.

How dare Rep Cohen ask the military folks to take down our President Trump. THIS AFTER he recommended sleazy Styrok be given a purple heart for appearing before the intelligence committee. I say get red to the punk. He has no idea what a military person goes through to be given a Purple Heart.

Yes, and as a consequence, the level of outrageous, treasonous, criminal behavior is increasing. And as November approaches the RATs will throw absolutely everything at Trump and the GOP, because they know that this election is for all the marbles for a long time. They know that if the GOP holds both houses, that Trump will completely remake the SCOTUS, continue to undo 50 years of RAT law and regulation, and the 2020 election will be in the bag for Trump. I fully expect that there will be casualties from some of it. Decent people need to have “situational awareness,” because everyone is at risk.
