Reminds me of ‘The Hot Zone’ which I’m reading right now. Saw the movie years ago, but saw the book in the thrift shop and now I’m hearing about cave infections. I think they will be tested for all kinds of infectious diseases and perhaps kept in isolation till the tests come back.

Officials are looking into whether to charge the 25-year-old coach of the Wild Boars, identified in local outlets as Ekapol Chanthawong, with negligence for bringing 12 boys — ranging in age from 11 to 16 — on an excursion into the Tham Luang cave after their practice June 23.
“We have to study the matter carefully first,” Col. Komsan Saard-an, chief of the Mae Sai Police Station, told the Khaosod English paper on Tuesday, when asked if charges were forthcoming.
Some residents said the coach should have been more prudent.

DON’T condemn me for having an opinion, I have enough information to realize a so called “monk” / coach has no right to present himself as a cave leader explorer, he was wrong to seduce the team of boys , off a soccer field. I Am definitely informed enough to have common bay horse sense . I would never allow my child to dance into a cave . the PROOF is the monk / coach almost caused the DEATHS of the entire group...which is ENOUGH INFORMATION for me ...
if my children were seduced into following the monk nutjob into a death trap cave I would be looking for a tree to hang the SOB
