The longer this lasts, the more likely people start looking at the big picture. The left just has the same story complete with staged cage pictures, outdated chain link fence pictures, etc. The right, represented by Trump, and a few loyalists, has illegal immigrant crimes, etc. The right will win, we just have to wait.

The EO by itself looks like an immense cave-in, but in announcing it, the President did say it would be "matched by legislation," which actually allows him to veto anything with amnesty in it and still keep the kids with their parents because of the EO. Doesn't matter whether we like the EO if it prevents the larger disaster of amnesty.
Of course, with a real Republican majority, not the spineless weasels we have there, it wouldn't have come to this.

If there is an EO and ALL it does was allow parents, after it has been PROVED they are the parents, to reside at the shelter where their children are, I see absolutely no downside to this.
No one gets turned loose and no one gets amnesty. Trump has not caved because he himself said he didn’t like that the families were separated. He also asked for a Bill to correct that and this is only a stop gap until he gets one.

If Trump signs an amnesty bill he owns it, not Ryan or McConnell, him. Besides he will pizz of Dobbs and Coulter and me of course.

Exactamundo. We're in agreement which is why I said it only looks like a cave-in when you view the EO by itself, but not when you view it with the two bills working their way through Congress because now he can veto them if they contain pro-amnesty provisions and not be subject to this mess over kids.
