Washington is still buzzing about and fighting over the Inspector General report regarding the FBI's investigation of the Hillary Clinton email scandal, the findings of which have inflamed both political parties. Amid the furor, the woman whose misconduct set the probe into motion -- precipitated by a counterintelligence referral from the intelligence community Inspector General to the FBI in 2015 -- decided to wade into the noise to troll former FBI Director James Comey. Mr. Comey (whose own reaction to the IG's conclusions is here) gets upbraided for insubordination and rogue decision making in the DOJ watchdog's conclusions. That assessment also unearthed this tidbit, which is laden with irony:

In response, Mrs. Clinton retweeted this item, adding a snarky note, delighting her fans and going viral:

Indeed. Not exactly a brainiac decision to remind us of her crimes - especially when her criminal behavior involved and included classified information.

Didn’t the people under investigation get to review the IG report? Wonder how many changes they made. We know the dims had talking points ready just after the five hundred page report came out. Wonder who gave the dims the report.

I said from nearly Day One of the Clinton private email server story that everyone in government better be operating under the assumption that anyone with an intelligence apparatus worthy of the name has the entire contents of that server. At a minimum, this would include countries like the UK, France, Germany, and Israel on the friendly side. And countries like China, Russia, and maybe North Korea on the not so friendly side.

She would have been much safer if she had been charged with national security violations on her emails, and a judge in her pocket tossed the charges—because then she could not be re-charged with the same crime.
Now this can be and should be a brand new case—and Comey’s corruption becomes irrelevant to her case _because he did not charge her_!
