Why doesnt he just become a democRAT already?
You do realize, of course, that there is power in the numbers. The party with the majority of members, gets to set the agenda, even if there are flaky members in that majority party.
Let him become a "democRAT" after he leaves congress. He won't matter AT THAT POINT. However, he does need to relinquish his speakership NOW, or be taken out.

Again I ask...why doesn’t Ryan announce he’s becoming a democRAT right now.
He would remain as speaker until his term is up, or the Republicans sought to oust him from the speaker’s position.
There is nothing in the House Rules that says the speaker must be of the Party in the majority or even a member of the House.
We would at least see Ryan’s true colors.
