Homeschooling Expands As Parents Seethe Over Liberal Social Engineering And Violence
SHTF Plan ^ | 6-11-2018 | Mac Slavp

Homeschooling rates are skyrocketing as parents are continually getting more and more upset at the leftist social engineering taking place in public schools. The indoctrination is getting so bad, that some parents are even concerned about liberal violence against those who reject the brainwashing.

According to The Washington Times, the recent school shooting at Parkland, Florida, was the last straw for scores of parents. The paper noted that “the phones started ringing at the Texas Home School Coalition, and they haven’t stopped yet.”

“When the Parkland shooting happened, our phone calls and emails exploded,” said coalition president Tim Lambert. “In the last couple of months, our numbers have doubled. We’re dealing with probably between 1,200 and 1,400 calls and emails per month, and prior to that it was 600 to 700.” But according to Natural News, it isn’t just the rampant violence worrying some parents. That’s just the tip of the collectivist agenda iceberg.

Christopher Chin, head of Homeschool Louisiana, told The Times that parents are fed up with “the violence, the bullying, the unsafe environments.” Many parents are also disturbed by the social engineering, which amounts to brainwashing and indoctrination that goes on in a public school. For example, a Minnesota public school is forcing Kindergarten students to study ‘white privilege’.

The left-wing curriculum and common core are also driving parents to remove their children from public schools. Brian D. Ray, who heads up the National Home Education Research Institute, in Salem, Oregon, who’s conducted homeschooling research for 33 years, told The Times that concern over school curriculum has reached the top of the charts for most parents. Ray said the top three reasons that parents choose homeschooling are a desire to provide religious instruction or different values than those offered in public schools; dissatisfaction with the academic

Actually, public schools weren’t around in the 19th century (although public financing of schools goes back to the Plymouth colonists).

Thank you both for an honest assessment of HSing.

HSing is certainly helpful for gifted children but every one of the 1.8 million or so attendant children won't ipso facto become 4.0 average Rhodes Scholars. There are probably more smart HSed kids than otherwise, but HSing isn't a panacea. Indeed, as others here have said it requires dedication and ninja-like organizational skills....and unity helps. I could never do the job Mrs DoodleBob has done with the little DoodleBobs, and she certainly shouldered the burden, but when family or friends voiced criticism, we both went medieval on the opposition.

It doesn't matter if you HS because you don't want the state standing in loco parentis or you believe you can teach your child better or your gifted child won't flourish or you fear for their safety and morals. HSing is largely about parents wanting to give their children the best shot at becoming the best “them” they could be (that's a keeper, Yaelle!), whether that's a rocket scientist, sanitation worker, seamstress, landscaper, banker, lawyer, artist, musician, tradesman, economist, or haberdasher.

/ rant.

In all seriousness, I'm surprised that the NEA hasn't been able to make homeschooling illegal.

And if not the NEA, then one of the many liberal judges out there who know what's best for us.

Having been in ministry, I know how it has long been under assault by communist apparatchiks. I have been connected to parochial schooling and home schooling through associates for decades.

Home schooling has some weaknesses - especially, from a Christian perspective, regarding tbe Great Commission - but it is clearly vastly superior and preferable overall to governmental indoctrination.

I can only hope that as this trend continues, at some point the schoolntaces I pay will drop, significantly, for a school system I’ll never use, for kids that aren’t mine, especially the young cherubs that showed up illegally.

Thanks for revealing this woman to me! Very interesting...what is her story? Never heard of her.

Perhaps she should be running for office? LOL

They should have never been institutionalized in the first place. Three, nearly fiur, generations and we see the truly frightening consequences. I wouldnt be surprised if there were gentic mutations like criminal prisoners. Just a theory of course.

Are you kidding?

I think that you should get out more———public school kids do NOT all turn out to be social pariahs.

She did a you tube thing on diabolical narcissism that was very interesting.

I don’t remember how I stumbled on it but it was fascinating.

Anyway, she gives a little of her history there, IIRC. She’s a very die hard, pre-Vatican 2 Catholic, just FYI.

But her stuff is good and she does NOT hold back. She says what needs to be said and doesn’t even come close to apologizing for it.

She also did a great video on islam that is a must see.

And that's in spite of the public education system, not because of it.

Because it isn't for a lack of trying on the school's part.

You sound like a public school teacher trying to save their job. We had public school teachers in our church always asking her math questions and what books she has read. She had read over 100 books by the 8th grade. I know kids that have never finished a real book in their life. Of course every child doesn't end up a pariah, but they won't have the values they could have if mom and dad cared enough to raise them themselves. Most of the home school curriculum are Bible based. If you are satisfied with humanistic/ atheistic philosophy being ingrained in your child, then they have to end up with moral relativity. They have the morals they are taught that change depending on the situation. At some point in every public school child's life, they will exhibit what they have learned. They will lie, disrespect parents and authority, bully, fight, backbite, and many other traits handed to them in school. You don't have to sell drugs to be a moral reprobate. How about cruelty to animals? How about staying out all night and the parents think he is somewhere else? How about getting the wrong change back and keeping it? You think it up, because kids today have NO MORALS. The same kid that will lie about where he is is just as likely to get a girl pregnant.

For 12 years, I knew EXACTLY where my daughter was and what she was doing. The things we did were with the church and we went with her on church functions. She did NONE of these things because she couldn't get away with it. She has graduated college and is a police officer and we are very proud of her. She is kind, truthful, takes no drugs except prescriptions, and didn't live with her boyfriends. She's 34 now, so I have no say in her life, but I know the foundation she has is rock solid.

I know she would be a different woman now if she grew up in public school.

Again, home school is a definite option for people that love their child. If you can't stand to be with them, send them to public school.

I raised five-—they are all kind, truthful.take no drugs, and didn’t live with their spouses before marriage.

THEY ALL WENT TO PUBLIC SCHOOL.

I have young adult grandchildren, also great young people-—in fact two of them took me out to lunch today.

This nonsense is all over the parochial schools as well, unfortunately. My own kids are homeschooled, but I saw a hand-out recently from my brother's 2nd grader's history class (in a local Catholic school) featuring a list of American heroes. The list included MLK, Rosa Parks, Susan B. Anthony, Caesar Chavez, Chief Joseph and another hispanic I didn't recognize. It's almost like they specifically set out to write white males out of history...

Public schooling is built on the Prussian model, which was always intended to break familial ties, undermine traditional family values, undermine faith, and build autonomous relationship to the State. It was always headed where it is now. And it will get worse.
