Yes, why is it so hard for a journalist, or anyone on the left to say, ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT?
Because they are directly or indirectly being supported by the drug cartels. Even worse is the financial connection of our politicians.

The ONLY proper legal term is “illegal alien.” Even
illegal immigrant” is incorrect and softer.
There’s no such thing as an illegal immigrant. There are illegal aliens, but no illegal immigrants.
Any and all definitions of immigrant in the US Codes relating to immigration refer to someone who has some kind of legal status. So when you call someone an “immigrant”, regardless of the word “illegal”, you’re halfway to legitimizing them.

For the same reasons they can’t say MUSLIM TERRORIST.
maybe because the legal term in our laws is “illegal alien” ???

a person either IMMIGRATES or they don’t...
illegal aliens don’t IMMIGRATE...
They have been educated in such a way that they genuinely don't accept that there is any difference. We are all a Collectivist Brotherhood of Humanity, their professors told them, and everyone should have the right to live anywhere they think the welfare benefits are best. Not allowing this would be unfair - and and example of white supremacist thinking. :)
Illegal immigrant is much better than "undocumented alien" or other journalistic euphemisms.
However, none of these descriptions hit the nail on the head like criminal aliens which exactly describes these people. But, "they're not criminals. They're just looking for a home away from threats on their life," or some other nonsense. Anyone who enters out country uninvited is a criminal, period.
IMHO, immigrant vetting is the way to go. A quick interview lasting no more than 45 minutes should suffice.
