Yeah, the reason I ask is that this AM the baker was saying the ‘message’ of the cake was what he objected to, and he would not make a cake with an anti-gay message.
Makes me wonder what was the design or message of the cake.
Knowing this was a militant gay couple it might be something like: “Screw Straight People” or worse.
You can’t force creativity or art at the end of a government’s perverse rulings, and you can’t rule a man’s conscience before his Creator.
“I won’t compromise in a world of desperation...”
“For Future Generations”
It’s very hard for me to believe that a couple getting married will simply buy an off the shelf wedding cake without a special wedding message in it.
Exactly. He doesn’t ..NO, DO NOT APOLOGIZE after what the fags made him do for 5 years.
Leave the man alone. I hope he does it again and rejects fag cakes just to get their panties in a twist.
Me too. I wouldn’t go on liberal TV shows. God, the guy went thru 5 years of fag lefty hate. And a Freeper also stated that there were
50 BAKERIES within a 100 mile radius, and these 2 sick homos went outside the 100 mile radius just to DO THIS BECAUSE THEY KNEW HE WAS A CHRISTIAN!!
Mr. Phillips also refused to make cakes celebrating divorces (apparently, divorce parties are now the big thing for divorcees who make a financial killing thanks to anti-husband/anti-father divorce courts) or for bachelor parties. The man wasn't singling out homosexuals, he was simply refusing to partake in the celebration of anything that he considered immoral. The difference is that only one group of clients demanding a message that Mr. Phillips disapproved had the arrogance and audacity to sue him for exercising his rights.
“So he would make a cake for gay weddings that didnt have a message or any other expressed content?”
I recall it was established that he would sell them a ‘standard wedding cake’ the same as he would sell to anyone else. He just didn’t want to make a custom cake with a specific gay message...like one with dick candles all over it or something like that.
On The Five, Jesse Watters said he would be losing lots of money, because so many homosexuals are getting miraged. I assume he’ll be inundated with customers who want to support him, plus people who think the homosexuals’ lawsuit was simply homofascist.
Yikes! Unfortunately, I believe you.
I’ve read a few times why legally it’s a narrow decision, but I can’t remember why right now.
Since SCOTUS didn’t rule on his right to not accept anti-Biblical cake designs, I guarantee you homosexuals will come in to demand a cake. Assuming this, as I don’t really know if they can afford the protracted legal case.
Conservative SCOTUS is assuming Trump will pick more conservative justices, so, the next time it’ll be a decision on the right of designers to not be forced to write a statement they’re religiously against.
Is he known for being a Christian? Does he have any signs that say he won’t do cakes with sinful messages? Just wondering why the homofascists chose this bakery in the first place.
Thanks for the explanation.
Jack Phillips told the homofascist couple he’d sell them a wedding cake off the shelf. He just refused to design one specifically for them.
How did they know he was a Christian?
Those who support his position will patronize his shop. But I don't shop where I don't feel welcome so I assume homosexuals not out to push their agenda will avoid his shop. Those who support them will not patronize the shop. He'll continue on as before. It's been six years and he's still baking cakes so I have to believe he's still getting steady business.
He goes to church with my friend and yes is a know Christian. He was targeted by these two creeps for his beliefs.
How’d the homofascists know he was a Christian?
I think he did advertise as a Christian. I hope he sues the two sodomites for what ever he can get.
