No. What would happen to you if you shot someone who pointed a bb gun at you?Depends on the circumstances and the state. The issue is whether you credibly thought the bb gun was a real gun, and therefore thought your life was in danger. In some states, like MA, you'd still have a hard time, much harder as a private citizen than if you were police. In others, not so much.
I'm not sure if that's what you are driving at, though.

I guess like on the Superman tv show of the 50s, after the criminal fires all of his bullets at Superman’s bulletproof chest, the crooks may throw the toy gun at you!Ever notice how Superman just stood there and laughed as the bad guy shot at him, but ducked when they threw the empty gun at him?
