You hit the nail on the head but didn't drive it all the way in.
The LA Times claims Gowdy's statement is evidence that the "republicans", with a little "r", are distancing themselves from the president's allegations that the intelligence agencies spied on his campaign and administration.
They are calling "Spygate" a "conspiracy theory".
I don't believe anything the liberal LA Times writes about. At all. Just more fake news to make Trump look bad.
But I don't believe in coincidences.
It is not a coincidence that Gowdy is not running for re-election and at the same time supporting the democRATS talking points.
Someone's gotten to Gowdy. He's not the same guy as he was a couple of years ago. The winds are blowing into his sails from a different direction.
Now he's kissing the GOPe's asses and he's quitting Congress with his tail between his legs. Sudden turnaround from his previous stances, if you ask me. A complete about-face.
Someone is holding something over his head.
Dirty pictures. An exposed affair. Financial impropriety. Threats at a minimum. Extortion at its worst.
The Deep State is corrupt and criminal. They will stop at nothing to get their way.
I think Gowdy not only knew, he somehow endorsed the spying. Hence, his current comments of support.
Referring to Gowdy in the Royal “We” I see.
LA Times always in wishful thinking mode it’s why they have a let’s make s**t up meeting before the presses roll.
congressional republicans are a bunch of chickenshits without ANY actual principals, other than “do whatever it takes to get re-elected” ...
The LA Times hires idiots to write stories!
Gowdy does not represent Republicans’ views and most disagree with his latest BS about the FBI spying on the Trump campaign being the proper thing to do.
