Urgent prayers needed for Ireland today!
Vanity ^ | May 25, 2018 | Vanity

Prayers needed for Ireland to defeat the attempt to change its constitution, which currently contains explicit protection for the lives of the unborn. Ireland is voting today in a referendum backed by the pro-abortion lobby, which would essentially allow virtually unrestricted abortion up to 6 months.

Please pray the referendum is defeated. And if you have any friends or relatives in Ireland please call them today. The polls are open now.

The polls close at 10pm Irish time, which is 5pm Eastern Time. So there’s still plenty of time to email, Facebook, text and/or call any Irish friends or relatives.

One pro-life campaigner composes the following sample email:

Hi, I hope you are well! I’m just contacting some friends regarding the referendum today.

I know it’s a complex issue, but it has become very clear that the Government’s abortion plan is just too extreme for most people.

This one-minute video explains what the Government is proposing (youtube.com/watch?v=07J-ZlXhuoo); this short article by five former chairmen of the Institute of Obstetricians is an essential read (bit.ly/2IGEy24); and, this website (loveboth.ie/why-vote-no/) answers the most frequently asked questions.

This is an incredibly important vote and time is running out. The polls close at 10:00 p.m. TONIGHT.

If you have any doubts, please vote “NO”... and pass this on!

Prayers sent! My dear departed grandmother was born and raised in the ‘old’ country. If she was alive now she’d be devastated by this anti-life effort.

Meanwhile back in the U.S., from email received from Dr. Alveda King:

Fellow Conservative,

As my Uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King once said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

I am writing you now with an opportunity to get personally involved in something that really matters. You see, I am an executive producer of a new movie that will be coming out soon that tells the true story of the most corrupt court case in U.S. history.

The lies, manipulations and distortions of fact in that case have cost millions of lives ...

... over 60 million unborn babies in the United States alone. And, the death toll of these precious little souls climbs daily.

The case was Roe v Wade. The year was 1973. The misguided Supreme Court decision overturned the ban on abortion after the Left flooded the Media with fake polls and fake statistics.

Liberal Hollywood big-wigs want nothing to do with telling this story and getting the truth out. They care more about politically correct "group think" then about the spilled blood of millions of innocent babies awaiting a chance at life.

So, we are making this movie ourselves. And, we have turned to grassroots Conservatives like you to get involved at every level of movie making and backing.

Roe V. Wade The Movie (Details)

Prayers ( and there were lots of them) didn’t prevent it here. Action is necessary. But prayers can’t hurt.

Ireland is (was?) over 90% Catholic.
In the past couple of decades, the church in Ireland has been known as the worst offender with gay pedophile priests. As no other denomination is readily available I can imagine the populace grasping at the socialist government for succor.

America was a different country in 1973.....Roe v Wade

We had just ended a divisive & hard fought war.....everything was still raw.....

We didn’t have the Internet to alert us!

The first and foremost reason I even paid attention to the abortion issue is because the loyal and Prolife Catholics in my area kept it on the front pages with their protests, God bless them!

And even as churchgoing as I had always been.....but not very political.....it took me even more years to become fully aware of what abortion meant and what it was doing to our country.

Then I became fully involved.

The fact this has even come to a vote reveals the condition of their government and peoples. It would not have come to this if the ‘people’ didn’t want it. Just as it was here in the US.

I would expect it to pass comfortably. We’ll see. I have no faith in “the old country.”

By 73 and many years before, there were places that were de facto abortion states. Here in NY the health of the mother being the key. There were doctors who wrote the appropriate forms to allow the abortion to proceed. These usually noted on the forms that it would be psychologically devastating for the woman to bear a child. Then a quick and ‘legal’ abortion.

I wonder if Ireland, currently, has similar ‘loopholes’ and that a constitutional change might just be cutting out the middleman. And barring that? It’s a short hop to Northern Ireland, England, France.

Years back, I watched a video of young people in Ireland responding to questions about homosexual marriage. The pro-homo opinions given were so programmed it was scary. It confirmed that Ireland’s youth are gullible and are easy to brainwash. It was an eye-opener.

If pederasty in the Church is as prevalent as you suggest, it would explain a lot of how the youth are programmed to adopt progressive politics and perversion.

My one acquaintance in Ireland is all for changing the rules there, judging from her Facebook posts that are pro abortion, I hope she is disappointed,
