They took away his internet access...the only platform left for Assange to communicate with the world after being confined to a room in the Ecuadoran embassy.
Britain is an Orwellian police state in case you haven't noticed, and the US is not too far behind.
Unfortunately, you are very likely 100% correct.
I personally think that much of this comes from a decades long encouragement of and exploitation of class and racial warfare, combined with false social justice outrage, used routinely by the left to solicit votes by those whose lives they actually hurt in the process. Many were sincerely affected by these political maneuvers, and thus felt justified in lying and subverting justice in order to help a ‘cause’ they came to believe in. Think of Betty Curie, trying to protect Bill Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal.
Now add to that Obama, a narcissistic man with very good persuasive skills, who grew up being told the same drivel about the virtues of socialism and the evils of ‘white society’. He felt and feels justified in whatever he did/does to promote his agenda and to subvert what he sees as an evil oppressive white society. He surrounded/surrounds himself with people who harbor the same resentments and sense of justification to lie, weaponize government, and do whatever they feel is necessary to ‘transform’ America to a ‘post-white’, ‘post-capitalist’ society in their own image. For them, the ends justifies the means, so whatever they do - including weaponizing the intelligence agencies, spying on and attempting to frame an American citizen running for the presidency, and even having people killed, is virtuous, because it's ‘for the cause’.
I'm sure Hitler felt the same way about the Holocaust. It's a sick, highly destructive mental state, and must be ferreted out of our government and society - or it will destroy us.

I can’t say it better than you did. This delusion is deeply set in post-1965 America. That’s why some of them are yapping on TV like Clapper...giving away the whole plot & not seeing himself for what he is.
